Power Rankings
Sorry it has taken so long to update rankings, packing for college is laborious task. After the all star break some teams have more questions than answers, myself included but let’s get to it.
1. Jungle Fever
They keep on winning, holding their opponents last week to a combined 68 pts, Wow
2. Pittsburgh Pressure
As soon as I felt confident enough to put myself at Number 1, we nearly get upset by Redbull Lakers. Although that is scary to me, I see a difference, last season we lost a game like that to the Rebellion, this season we held out and won.
3. Beachlife
Two wins for Beachlife against Souljas and Illiniwek, they maintain position
4. Green Gremlins
The Green Gremlins lost to Pittsburgh but beat Lion Rebels. The Gremlins have established themselves as best in their conference, but just that “in their conference”
5. Galloping Sloths,
you may be shocked to see Sloths here, and I agree they don’t belong at 5 but quite frankly who does. As will be explained later
6. Souljas,
the Souljas lost to Jungle Fever and Beachlife this week and drop as a result
7. Boom is Art,
they fell victim to the major upset of the season losing to retired
8. SM Lizards,
they beat West Side but lost to Illiniwek, very average
9. Illiniwek,
at least they beat SM
10. Boilers25,
The boilers lost to the Sloths but beat Rebellion
11. Retired,
the upset of the season and another win over Monkeykid jumps Retired in the rankings never before seen, maybe they should be 5
12. West Side Tigers,
two tough losses against Great 8 competition
13. Lion Rebels,
losing to Gremlins but beating the sloths, I see an argument to make them higher but at this point I don’t know
14. Monkeykid,
they lost to retired but bounced back against West Side
15. Righteous Rebellion,
a blowout loss to JF and a close loss to Boilers25 gets you nowhere
16. Redbull Lakers,
you almost had me Redbull, you almost did, but you still lost and to boom is Art as well, but hey at least you kept me from #1

Back to back OT games against tough teams... lost on the road, squeaked out at home. whew.

Edit> also of note, I can't recall the last time (if ever) the sloths scored 100 pts in back to back league games, OT or no OT....

Power Rankings
The power rankings returns after two weeks away and 3 games to update.
1. Jungle Fever, The Fever remain up top despite two close calls against Galloping Sloths and Boom is Art.
2. Pittsburgh Pressure, The Pressure survived against Beachlife, but otherwise did very well. My plan to finally reach D2 looks to be in reach
3. Green Gremlins, The gremlins had a tough two weeks they lost Jungle Fever and barely beat Illiniwek. But they held on and have a much easier schedule remaining
4. Beachlife, They beat the Rebellion, but couldn’t quite finish it against Pittsburgh
5. Boom is Art, Like Beachlife they couldn’t finish their victory against Jungle Fever, but they their other 2 games
6. SM Lizards, The lizards keep creeping up, with 3 wins against the Souljas, Rebellion and Rebels, they may steal the 4 seed which could spell trouble for the 1 seed
7. Galloping Sloths, after a 1-2 week the Sloths finally start to fall
8. Souljas, The Souljas lost to SM and got upset by Monkeykid, but immediately got back on the winning track against Redbull once conference play resumed. Coincidence I think not
9. Illiniwek, Illiniwek beat Monkeykid but lost to Boom is Art and Green Gremlins
10. Retired, Like SM they continue to creep up. Beating the Rebellion and Lion Rebels, they could not however beat Pittsburgh
11. Monkeykid, beating Souljas and Boilers help their cause to avoid demotion
12. West Side Tigers, beating the sloths was vital after losing back to back against Boom is Art and Pittsburgh
13. Boilers25, losing to Green Gremlins and Monkeykid and barely winning against Redbull drops you to 13
14. Lion Rebels, 1-2 for the Rebels with their only win against Redbull
15. Righteous Rebellion, 0-3 for the rebellion this week at least they have Redbull coming up next
16. Redbull Lakers, 0-3 for the Lakers with losses to Boilers25 and Lion Rebels included. The toilet bowl is up next against the Rebellion with last place on the line.

Heh, despite a 1-2 record (the loss to the Tigers looks bad, but they were a pre-season favorite) I think the Sloths had a good week given the competition. Are they top 5 material? nah. But now you have them too low. Grin

Power Rankings
The new rankings come out this week on Labor Day.
1. Pittsburgh Pressure, we are finally number 1, with JF loss to SM, the only problem is we play JF next game and they will not underestimate us, plus the injury to Aldino makes it worse
2. Jungle Fever, after avoiding a few close calls the Fever lost to SM, but can retake 1 by beating Pittsburgh
3. Green Gremlins, The Gremlins won 2 more games and look the 1 seed in the great 8
4. SM Lizards, They upset Jungle Fever on the road. Delgado looks better than ever and this team, I think is the most dangerous.
5. Boom is Art, two wins over Beachlife and Lion Rebels a good week, only to be outdone by SM
6. Beachlife, a loss to Boom is Art drops them to 6
7. Galloping Sloths, beat retired and Redbull this week results we all expected
8. Souljas, losses to Green Gremlins and more prominently West Side drops you to 8
9. Retired, retired has a tremendous second half of the season with another win this week over Illiniwek
10. Illiniwek, a victory over West Side but a loss to retired puts you exactly where you belong
11. West Side Tigers, a victory over the Soulja’s but a loss to Illiniwek puts you at 11
12. Monkeykid, the Maniacs lost two more this week although not for a lack of effort
13. Boilers25, losses to SM and Pittsburgh don’t look that bad on paper but compared to earlier this season it’s a drop
14. Lion Rebels, also two losses this week keeps you at 14
15. Redbull Lakers, the Lakers won the toilet bowl and move up to 15
16. Righteous Rebellion, the Rebellion lost the toilet bowl, but may still end playing in the relegation series.

Week 12 Power Rankings are here
1. Pittsburgh Pressure, We won against Jungle Fever, and it would be time to party but two of my players are still hurt and we have to travel to a resurgent SM Lizards, do I have the guns to win that game? Only time will tell.
2. Jungle Fever, A loss to the Pressure in Pittsburgh was expected and the Fever look to prepare for a postseason run
3. Green Gremlins, A loss to the Sloths was a surprise, but the Gremlins have shown to be stable all season.
4. SM Lizards, despite sitting at #4 in the rankings, the lizards are outside of the playoff picture, and likely need a win against #1 Pittsburgh to make it.
5. Galloping Sloths, an upset of the Gremlins move you up to 5 sloths
6. Boom is Art, A loss to SM Lizards at home move you down to 6
7. Beachlife, another team that lost to SM and beat Boilers25 this week.
8. Retired, a victory over the souljas and they are only one game out of the playoffs
9. Illiniwek, Two wins for Illiniwek this week was good. I actually feel bad putting them at 9 they could be higher
10. West Side Tigers, The tigers beat the 2 bottom dwellers this week.
11. Soulja’s, a loss to retired and falling to sixth in the big 8 could be catastrophic
12. Monkeykid, hey at least you beat the Rebels
13. Boilers25, two close losses to Beachlife and Boom is Art keep you at the bottom
14. Lion Rebels, two losses for the Rebels all but dooms them to demotion
15. Redbull Lakers, still 8th place in the big 8, demotion is coming
16. Righteous Rebellion, Two more losses for the Rebellion, if there is any consolation prize, you get a home game send off the relegation series.
