Well, after all this discusion, i think decision taken by Marin is the fairest.

As we said before, every decision will harm someone, but the fair here is repeat the games in normal conditions no matter what the score was on last monday, because that score is only a mirage created by an anormal situation.

Who won have to show they can do it again with a real enthusiasm, and who lose have a new chance to try it and now without excuses.

If I had been an U21 coach in these Repechages, surely I would have check the enthusiasm all the monday, and I surely used CT if my TS was at 1.

I personally disagree.

At the end of the day rules are clear. The reset should have been in place before the beginning of the repechage and all coaches were supposed to give credit to rules and act accordingly. This bug was not a delay in standings or something, it's a bug that would have been certainly fixed because was falsifying results. Whether or not we were supposed to be involved in the decision is unclear, Marin could have even replayed matches with the proper ts and the same lineup automatically. It's a bet trying to act differently from what it's written in the rules, and rules are straight and simple about that.

Unfortunately, Marin was not able to work on the problem immediately because of his holidays etc, now of course things are different because of GS, the order of games etc. and it would be pretty unfair replaying everything with same lineup and enthusiasm and that's obvious.
However, if we would have replayed games last Wednesday...

There will be a national team enthusiasm reset during the offseason between the qualifiers and the World Championships. This reset will occur between 18:00 server time on the Saturday before the 2nd Chance Qualifiers and the start of the 2nd Chance Qualifiers.

It's so simple. Rules are totally clear. The reset could have even occurred 5" before the lineup deadline and I don't see a reason why, in a similar occasion, people should have argued for example that they set the lineup assuming enthusiasms would have been at 1 because it was so one minute before.

But I repeat, at the end of the day, if you're following rules you should not, never, be the one penalized by such an action. If you're taking a different decision, which is legit, assuming conditions will be different than the one written in the rules, it's a bet anyway that could be good or wrong.

Thinking that a bug in the reset wouldn't have been fixed somehow is totally crazy, it's a no return point for the game in any occasion if you leave a bug destroying a tournament. Since that one was the first occasion, you didn't even know which kind of actions Marin would have had. If he could have only replayed games the same day, with ts 5, same lineup etc, there wouldn't have been nothing strange and this would have been perfectly ok if everyone was preparing the games as per the rules.

All that said, I'm totally ok with this solution. No particular problem and I believe is the best solution once GS and schedule are different.

I have to admit that you make me laugh, being so naive...
Sorry next time I'll trust blindly in Marin to do the right thing.
I dont know, maybe its just me with that not trusting him with bugs thing...

Also clrearly Israel was trying to take advantage of this bug, imagine thinking that Israel could beat the powerhouse called Nigeria without a CT vs TIE..

You are just not getting the point.

I've never said a word about taking advantage of others, that's all your speculation or English misunderstanding. I disagree with the idea I quoted: "I surely used CT if my TS was 1" because it makes no sense.

Even considering all the possible option on the table, few could have been that positive about crunching.
1) Replaying all matches automatically with same lineup: would have been better following rules
2) Having the reset at the time of the deadline: would have been better following rules
3) No chance of replaying matches: tough situation. But it wouldn't have been acceptable leaving simply the ent of the reset after different efforts in the first game. Ent could have been potentially changed manually according to the efforts, and I guess most teams wouldn't have been so happy of crunching.
4) No fix at all and no reset at all: potentially good for crunching (even though negative for the worlds itself). Not so likely considering the severity of the bug.

I didn't know which kind of solution Marin was going to use, best scenario is always trying to provide equal opportunities to everyone. But he could have been potentially impossibilitate to do "the right thing". Once there, who do you think it is more fair to "help"? The ones who act as rules are claiming, or the ones who did something different?
And to be clear another time, I'm not calling the second group cheaters or something. You just bet on the fact that Marin was not going to fix anything (and I could understand the fear of Nigeria in those conditions).

I'm not blaming you because you crunched, and I'm reasonably happy with this solution which seems the best at the current moment. But that doesn't mean crunching was "surely" the best idea
