Dey got blown the fug out :O. Spurs crashing boards harder than Vito ten Brink* all game. Durant and Green the lone bright spark in an otherwise horrific display on the glass for GSW.

*ten Brink leads the ABBL in rebounds with 15.6 per game.

Toronto was lucky last season. They played pretty badly in the playoffs but someone how still managed to make the conference finals.

The Pacers or the Trail Blazers should have a good chance of rounding out the top 4 or 5.

If the Clippers dont do well this season, watch CP3 bolt in free agency.

Anthony Davis must be playing NBA 2k MyCareer on Hall of Fame. He still gets his because he's a player vs the CPU and a beast, but his team-mates can't hit jack because of slider cheese.

EDIT: Raptors weren't that far way from taking one off the Cavaliers, even if their final steal that set up the 0.3 prayer for OT was an uncalled foul. Maybe they won't win 56 games again but they can be a dark horse for the title if Sullinger can come back before too long.

Play-off basketball is still basketball, and this year especially has taught me that there's no such thing as a certainty in sports. So you can't say with any certainty that the Raptors won't win the title, just that it's an outside chance.

fkn no one.

injuries, trades, and golden runs all lead to titles in about 75 games time.

Cant really compare AFL/NRL to the NBA lol its apples and oranges.

Its a one game grand finals compared to a seven game series.Better team always finds a way to win a seven game series. (Exception was when Seattle lost to Denver and Mavs lost to Warriors).

The Swans may have come out on top if the grand finals was say a 5 game series or 7 seven games series.

yer sure u can't compare afl, but there are plenty of basketball examples.

Detroit pistons in 04, miami heat in '06, 1978 Washington Bullets - that year is a good example because the two teams that were in the finals where both sub-50 win teams.

So it does happen - maybe the swans would have come out on top in 7 games......... - yet the team paying the shortest price to win AFL grand final for 2017 is?

I would argue that the NBA season contains too many games for the purpose it serves. After 82 games, over half the league is still in the running to win and are theoretically on even footing as no byes are awarded in the play-offs.

Aside from arguments over the fairness of having so many games to eliminate so few teams, the players rarely get a chance to properly rest during such a congested season.

If only money wasn't a driving factor towards squeezing all the extra games onto the schedule. I think dropping the regular season to 76 games would be better for the players, and slightly increase the value of regular season W's and L's (that's 4 games vs division rivals, 3 games vs conference teams, 2 games vs opposite conference). Maybe even go as low as 72, doing away with the concept of divisions entirely.

There's a case to be made for only letting 4 teams from each conference make the play-offs too.
