I think you're wrong on that
The whole idea was to help teams no longer in the playoffs
since they won't have any gate receipts this week
then they won't have to pay salaries.

The following week is effectively week one of a new season
half of all teams will have a home game during that week
and I would think a whole new salary structure to be paid

In return, players have agreed to only take a salary during weeks when their teams play at least one competitive league game. Teams finishing in 5th and 8th place will pay no salaries during both weeks of the playoffs, and teams eliminated from the playoffs will pay no salaries in the second playoff week.

I found this on the main page explaining season 15 changes. The way i read it is that i won't pay player salaries. The interesting part will be to see if the staff takes their salaries.

By competitive game i assume you mean league game oir playoff game. But do you still pay player salaries if you only have scrimmages this week?
