Well I haven't had too much experience with injured players, and have never had a taping doctor so can't help you out with the answer. I was just basing my idea of what a taping doctor does on the game manual. And hence why I thought the taping specialty is a bit useless in comparison with the massage specialty. However, if someone can shed some light on their experiences that would be very much appreciated :)

Taping does not prevent injury from being worse later. It only helps in the game. Doctors level can prevent injuries sticking after the game or shortens the injury duration.

It can jump multiple levels per week. In the last 2 weeks my Pg has gone from mediocre to strong so as long as you get the perfect amount of minutes it can bump up twice.

Well I haven't had too much experience with injured players

It is the nature of the game that you will -- maybe sooner than you think --

I was once the way you are now -- did not understand how injury can strike with blinding, catastrophic quickness -- now, traumatized, I feel (with apologies to Cotton Mather) all of our players are in the hands of angry God, dangling over the Pit of Injury, ready to be dropped with terrifying randomness --

I think this is the reason my league's forum is so polite, and for that matter there is so little trash talking among the coaches -- we all realize our team is but a second away from absolute disruption, our plans turned to dust, our hubris mocked by fate --

I think you can experience bigger jumps (2 levels) when players are in really bad GS and more likely jumps up of 1 when they are respectable and above. Remember that GS has invisible sub-levels too so you could go from awful (3.1) to inept (4.9) and it would be a good week. I reckon you'll get to average in 2 weeks then 1 week for each level of improvement there.
