I wouldn't be so certain of that, especially in lower leagues.

Last year I had players go 1-2 in the MVP race. The MVP averaged slightly over 30 minutes per game. 2nd Place player had 28 minutes per game.

I don't expect to win the MVP vote this year, but I do expect some of my players to get votes. I don't have a single player in the Top 10 of statistics (Points, Rebounds, Assists)... but I also don't have a single player who is averaging more than 29 minutes per game. [The beauty and curse of blowing out teams.]

The top team in my league (22-0) has only 1 player listed in the Top 10 stats for the league and has one player averaging over 30 minutes per game. However, I expect his best player will be voted as the MVP.
