We won the S28 World Cup because for 10 seasons prior, immense amounts of planning and training went into creating a team of uniquely built players designed for a specific style of play. We didn’t win, because we’re a large country. We won, because a small group of managers had vision and buy-in. Their entire goal was to win a world championship.

A-Dub, you’re not training NT players. You’re training U21 players. Once your MVP and HOF potential players hit 22-23, you’ll be unable to afford them, unless you’re in D2 or D1. It takes committed, high-level managers to finish out the training of NT players. Anyone can train U21 players. I’d be willing to bet there are no more than 5 managers training NT players right now. The sacrifice and commitment it takes to train NT players with 150+ TSP is immense.

If we’re going to return to glory, it will take someone with vision who puts together a dedicated team of people that can rebuild the infrastructure, unify and expand Discord/the offsite, and plan for the future by motivating others to train NT players. Until that person shows up, a master of the GE like Sahand is our only hope to win.

The disconnect that exists isn't really between the offsite and the onsite, it's between the people the care about the NT/u21 and the people that don't, and perhaps those who care to play this actively versus those that do not. Thats my personal beliefs about the discord in it's current form aside.

What really should matter to people is knowing how to develop talent, because you can a) learn how to create salary efficient players with enough skill to carry your team and b) use the training exemption to get around the overextension tax that you pay when buying players to complete your competitive run. A lot of the information is free to those who go to the places it exists, and if that is the discord then maybe they should consider it. if it's the offsite, maybe they should consider that. If it's here, then perhaps they are set.

Whomever gets the job should focus on the following:

1) find interested owners that are developing NT talent right now.
2) attempt to reverse engineer what the best NT teams have done to get their talent where it is today
3) Work on the long term success of the plan.

I think it's difficult for someone to get there in one stint as the NT manager. It's a 5-6 season job, we won't see how good you really are outside of tactical prowess until many years later.
