in the middle of the table, i am more than happy to go 2 games clear of spartans, but more importantly 180 points difference between us..

i got the beasts next, an absolute loss, the challenge there is keeping the loss to 20-30 points at the most.. this season has a loooong way to go yet, except for the botanators!

To be honest roozer, I don't think you're going anywhere right now:

you may be lucky and sell your injured C, buy another half-decent one and go for promotion. However there is no way you could handle a div 2 with that roster, you would be bound to take the lift straight back to div 3. With the risk of landing in a tougher one (3.16 is really easy from what I see).

You'd better wait a couple of seasons, build up your arena (in order to make that promotion profitable) and train 3 young blokes. If you promote now you won't even be making money with a 7k seats arena. So you'd be stuck between div 2 and 3 for a long time.

Not to mention that you're training game shape on some aging old farts that you'll have to sell for half the price they cost you. That could really drag you down.

i think the above pretty much applies to anyone who signs aging players and trains gameshape.. the team will not ever get any better, will only ever be as good as the players are now.. yup, if you get the right players in the right league, you can snag a few wins, but it sounds like making money under this system is pretty hard.

morning glory is doing the same thing in this league, and no offense to MG, but they will never be more than a mid tier team in this league whilst they go down that path.. currently there are 4 teams ahead of him on the red side, and 6 teams on the blue have more wins. all those teams in front are A) making more money, B) have bigger arenas and C) training players so overall the team gets better!

when your spending everything you earn on salaries, it is very difficult to upgrade arena and bring in better players to move up the ranks.. training improves players = sell for profit, old guys lose skills = sell for loss

I got a little lucky with him, jumped for average GS to strong with under 48 minutes played last week..

Cultis and Vladimir have finally achieved decent GS this week so we shall see how they go in the big game against the Beast Killer. They were fairly good against the Spartins considering he put more effort into the game than me and I still won by 52.

Want to see something really amazing? I seem to have a fan in the Phillipines. Anyone else ever had this deja vu experience?

haha nice. making multiple accounts are we hippo?

oh and len would have been trained. its just harder to get pops outside when you are 6'6"

the only thing that concerns me is the ID and the PA. i wouldnt mind buying him however i dont think i would be able to train up the ID and PA with my current plans.

That's hilarious, I always speculated that you just spent heaps of time coming up with the most original name possible.. Appears I was wrong, were did you get the name?

For me Len is only a one on one triple pop away from being where I would've expected and like you Bains, I would've loved to have bought and trained him, shame you didn't put him on the market before I bout my C! lol

Oh well, guess I just hope for a random superstar in the draft and continue to make my play at promotion! :)

i looked at buying Len, then thought, irrespective of stats i really dont wanna hand Neeber 750k at this stage of the season, or probably ever :D
