the box scores are pretty useless.

Do you know their age?
im assuming that they are both 4/3
If you know the age, the the younger of the 2, if there is an 18 year old.
He will sell for more and be a quicker trainee.

If they are the same in everything but position, then choose whichever position you prefer or need a good player in.

Depending on the ratings you may not even see the difference between the two at the beginning....

I disagree you may not even see a difference in the players at the beginning, while you will see a difference in their potential and the potential will make him attractive. Another reason to take one over the other is that one is a PG vs a SG but for a Div IV team that should be irrelevant.

Go with the guy with a known potential of 4 stars!!! That unknown guy could be a 1 star guy on a great night....

Oh sorry guys, I wasn't very clear.

Each guy I had was only scouted once, resulting in both having only a 4 ball rating. No potential or age shown. Would it be smarter to go with one of these guys, or a 5 ball rating player(with no potential shown) with an average box score?

I'm hearing that box scores aren't very accurate and that star ratings are the best. Do you guys agree with that?

Thanks again!

4 star 3 potential guys, in which case I'd draft a five star guy of unknown potential.

I'm in a similar quandary in my draft... should I take a 3 star 4 potential player (Grade C, age 19) over several 5 star unknown potential players?

In your case i would go with the 5 star unknowns for sure. 3 stars isn't that high for a start and he is 19 on top of that. There is a very good chance that the 5 star/unknowns will be better.
