But for your PG to only have 2 assists in a game against GB, that is still a worry. I actually saw him play for the Melbourne Tigers a couple of times and he was close to unguardable in the NBL with his quickness. He did also have the good no fear attitude you want from a PG to take the big shot when it is there. But for a super quick PG you want to see those spectacular assists that lead to the highlight reel dunks and he just doesn't seem to make enough of those passes.

But if you watch any Matty Milly Highlight reel like this one http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iH7nC64xYyMwhat do you see? Lots of breaking down people with speed getting to the basket and lots of making shots he probably shouldn't have taken. He is a PG. Count the spectacular assists? To him many, from him just two. As for the highlight defensive plays, steals, charges, blocks, nah none.

Mills is a very solid defender and is quite serviceable slowing down PGs in the NBA. He is pretty dogged about it and puts in effort, which is nice to see.

I can't remember the name of the other guard we had in the brazil game but he was terrible (well, he looked it), not being able to keep up with Brazil's (granted, world class) pg. In fact, if I remember correctly, the last play they swapped Mills on to him...

That also says to me the coach is deliberately trying to keep Mills fresh for offense? Or maybe he had foul trouble, I don't know.

I think in the last Olympics Coach K (or maybe it was an assistant) actually said some very nice things about Mills and his defense, saying he could be very, very good at it and could carve a nice role around it in the NBA.

Didnt he have a stint on the spurs team? But was not good
Enough to get any court time.

He played okay for the blacers off the bench.

As I said I have seen him play in the NBL and he was awesome, but in NBA I have only sen him play against scrubs in garbage time when few play defence and everyone is trying to grab a stat or two.

He playing more of the 2 guard for Australia with delladova playing the pg and most set plays such as pick and roles and usually is the one that sets mulls up with his jumpers from what I've seen.

Dellavadova is a young and blossoming star who currently plays in College over in america . He is a great 3 pt shooter, play maker and from what I see, a great defender. I heard he hasn't even played his last season with St.Mary's (think that's his college) and he already is the all time leader in assists. Dellavadova is a very bright player and is one of my favourites Aussies. GO DELLAVADOVA!!

Hahha, great play! Then again he redeemed himself after he missed that open three. I didnt think Australia was gonna give him the last shot though. Thought they would've given it to dellavadova only cause he's my favourite haha =)

Ingles would've been 2nd shot taker but patty mills always wants to be the man.
he lived up to it though.

whats the chances against the dream team in the quarter finals? LOL prolly no chance but still fun to watch.

and the Suns are looking good so far, we got another SF in Tucker i think, he should fill the role that Grant Hill
and J-Chill played.

top 10 in the west and i'll be happy... playoffs would be a bonus.

Probably not many of you follow the womans games but there was massive news.

Liz Cambage dunks!

First ever dunk by a woman at the Olympics! Fantastic!

Beating the undefeated Russians though, that is a major morale boost after the loss against Brazil made it look like we had a certain date with the Americans and a tournament of achieving nothing. Now with one of Brasil or Spain having to lose in their final matchup we can still make 3rd depending on how the ladder ends up.

Whoever wins will go to 1st or 2nd but whoever loses will be 3rd or 4th.

We have +37 PD, Brasil +47, Spain +26. The worst result for us would be for Spain to have a narrow victory. We need Brasil to win or Spain to win by 11+. It is just like Buzzerbeater!
