Off to a good start with the Consolation tournament. An easy win is always nice for once!

By the way: In case you didn't know, the teams that make it the furthest in the consolation tournament from each confederation get to be the host country for the following season. So, if you do well, you'll have a better shot of making the WC next season.
Good luck!

Two wins to start off but the game vs Eesti will be tough. They have a very balanced team. Best of luck!

Well unfortunately a very close loss tonight. I thought we were going to pull it out using motion offense against his 2-3 defense. goaltending call with 39 seconds to play giving them the lead didn't exactly make me very happy!

Nice comeback win today! Looking good in 6th place.
Any insight on the format of this tournament? Looks like the top 32 teams advance - but to where?

single elimination as far as i know is the next step.
i was honestly quite surprised to see the win after being outplayed in the first 3 quarters. definately didn't pick the right defensive tactics going 3-2 when he went look inside!!

Elimination stage is up next for the U21's. Things don't look too easy. Round of 32 game against the Swiss. They look solid even though we are seeded higher. They played a more difficult schedule for the 8 seeding games in the consolation tournament.
It's going to be tough. Anybody's thoughts, ideas, or suggestions?
What are most of your expectations as to how far the team should make it into the knockout phase?
