Well you can always strengthen your team with extra cash and expensive players
But that's not efficient business model
The game is not to out spend and win
If I am training at the speed which I find acceptable
There is no need to spend millions on a new high level trainer
And if I know I am training young studs out of position
I certainly won't spend to stack my roster
The way I see this, the window of contending is not that long
Most contenders have the highest paid roster
U just can't afford to do that for seasons indefinitely
I just want a place to invest a few million while I train my guys 1 position for 3 trainee
And stay in the division to make some profits while at it

You can always look for a salary efficient roster while building cash. The goal is to accumulate cash than pay out when you go for a title run.

So personally I just buy Americans so that I gather lots of merchandise. That may be a good step for you.

Concentrating on a strong economy is the most important aspect of the game. I don't think you need much rewards for hoarding cash though. The biggest reward for cash on hand is the availability to do a title run. It shouldn't be a reward in itself.

Well I am not trying to hoard cash and not compete
I made it to the playoffs
I have a team that has league average salary and 4x league average income
Have a few pretty promising trainee that just takes time to train
Even if I load up on players, There is a low chance of HOA Bc I need to train out of position
And it makes little sense to buy players just to increase merchandise
The salary is gonna be greater than the income

And without HOA, u simply just need a superior roster than the 1st seed which already has top salary in the league
Therefore, it makes sense to kinda just float and save while your trainees grow
I would tank if the draft is more promising than currently constructed

So it would be nice if there is a bank that gives u some kinda return on cash u save

You did have the highest average arena revenue for the season and I presume pretty decent merchandising from Creytz' tenure plus Fisk's been there a decent amount of time too. On the other hand, you're also suffering slightly in competitive terms by only having a 9 man roster and especially thin on big men. If you're training, you're not going to be training GS (which should never be necessary anyway) so you're going to either suffer late in games or have a GS deficit from overplaying the starters.

Which isn't to say you're doing bad at all. You made the playoffs in a killer league, are improving your roster as you go and have more money coming in than going out. I'm always a fan of trying to train and just making sure you stay out of relegation trouble, and then doing as well as you can within your financial situation. You're doing that, and you could probably afford to add a backup big man or two and still be in good shape, but have a slightly better chance at postseason success. Or, hell, take whatever magic pill I found that pushed me into the finals after being stone cold frigid to end the season.

I kinda get what your talking about. Because you're training your players out of position, you can't field a competitive enough roster to win the league. However, you can field an competitive enough roster to stay alive while still making money. The only problem is you can't stand the money just sitting there, and since it no longer makes sense to invest in your arena or other players/trainees, you want to do something else productive with your money. Possibly because you would be less tempting to spend it if it was doing something worthwhile.

I like the idea, just one more option for the cash.

suuure, introduce either actual financing or another random factor into the game. I think when it comes to economy the way that it is done is pretty good (although there should be financial reward for winning a league!). Bank would only make tanking more beneficial and obviously (salary floor) thats not the way the game and majority of users want to go.

I think a bank function could be interesting. It could work like a CD account does in real life. The deadline is the first game. Players can put any amount they own in the account. The money can't be touched for the whole season. At the end of the season you get the money back with 5% interest. So 1,000,000 would net you 50,000 at the end of the season. Nobody is going to get rich off of this, but it provides a way to make a little money if you truly have nothing else to do with your money.

PS: The entire amount of money can be withdrawn at any point in the season at the loss of all of the 5% interest.

Somehow though I don't think a feature like this would make you happy :D
