I typically tailor my training and trainees to who I am playing in a given week.

For those teams I should beat easily (bot or no player above 7k) I train single position with my worst trainee at PG/SG/C (depending on what I want to train that week).

For those teams I should beat but will be slightly harder, I still single position train, but will use a better trainee or defensively switch them somewhere that won't be an issue.

For a week full of close games, I will train either 1v1 or Jump Shot and play my trainee so that they will get full training in the 3 games, but won't hurt me too much.

For games I know I can't win, I will single position train a trainee that doesn't foul a lot.

Like always, if the coach does something weird, and my trainees don't get 48+ minutes, I will change training to either Jump Shot or Rebounding, depending on if I was training PG or C.

Also, you need to think about how competitive you want to be in a given season. For example, I think I should be able to promote, but I also want to train my rookies. I may have to sacrifice a few games and promote next season. My finances should be secure enough to spend a season or three in Div IV, as long as I don't go crazy and buy a 100k SG or something.

Hope this helps, I can try and break it down further if you want to hear more.
