Well, this is not realistic at all. It probably makes sense in NBA (who'd bring more merchandise, Nowitzki or LeBron?), but not in Europe. If you buy a great foreign player, you basically tell fans you have high goals for the season. Why would they turn away from their team?

I don't know man, it's really weird. Your example doesn't make sense to me either. I know +5k or +10k doesn't mean that much, but if I'm doing everything right for the team and then fans award this by buying less merchandise...it's a problem IMO. If it's not a bug, it's a problem in the system then.

That's why I'm calling this a bug and urge BBs to take a look at merchandises of other teams, beause there might be a similar problem. If there isn't, I'd be happy to get an explanation on why I have the lowest merchandise in the season.


I think a large reason for it is that you had a walkover in your first league match last week and therefore fielded players with very low salary. The theory is that the number of minutes played by your players in league matches is used to determine how much merchandise is purchased, so when you have a significant reduction in minutes for a week by your popular players, they will necessarily sell less merchandise.

Ok, that's new to me, but very plausible explanation. Do you know who developed this theory and if it received any confirmation from BBs?

I don't know on either count. I know some people on the USA offsite were tracking our player minutes in league matches to try to validate the theory so I imagine it was one of the bright minds there. I'm not sure if there was any sort of final determination on this though, but the data in your case at least supports it. (On the other hand a quick glance at Terfu's games doesn't explain his decrease at all so of course as usual there's never an easy answer).

i also have 8k drop in my merchandise even though there has been no change in my team from the previous weeks.
some other managers from turkey have also expressed similar drops in the turkish forum.
