It's hard to tell, really. He could be attempting steals, in which case more OD might help him succeed more frequently and therefore foul less, or maybe it'll just make him try to steal the ball more frequently, which means you'll get more steals and roughly the same number of fouls. Or it could be defensive positioning, in which case more ID might help that, or might cause him to think he can get better position and give away more fouls.

So, boiling down this analysis into practical advice, train OD, or ID, or don't. Whatever you choose will backfire.

haha well, here's my take on fouling:

ok in the NBA there are lots of different fouls, like let's see technical, flagrant* shooting* loose ball, foul*, charging, offensive* reach in, etc.

the askterisk are the ones that BB uses. Now as far as I can see defensive fouls are "fouls" it could be that someone was doing a pick and then they grabbed their arm. Or just they were trying to steal the ball, or they just trying to get the refs attention. But here's the point: Some fouls could be shooting, but the player didn't have the ball in the air, if it was in the air it'd be a Shooting foul. but for instance lets say Lebron driving yo the basket and Kevin Durant fouls him. If Lebron had the ball in the air it would be shooting, but IF it was on the ground dribbling it'd be regular defensive. idk what it would effect in the game engine, since only the BBs know. But I wonder what happens if we implemented the plays not mentioned? WOuld there be more fouls? Would there be less? Would the engine decide if it was in the air or not? there are lots of questions people have about the engine, and I'd like the fouling mystery of the engine to be answered first. But they hide it to nt give people advantage. also about the fouling behavior maybe he could be Agreessive type of guy Like Metta World Peace, but it'd take you some weeks to do........anywayas that's my take on fouling

Heh, I'm hardly upset. And no, I wouldn't bother to challenge you. I have zero interest in playing a scrimmage game against your team, despite it's self-declared -"Elite" status or not. Scrimmage wins and losses are meaningless, and besides, asking for scrimmages on the forums isn't allowed.

My Centre (19464373) has 14 ID , 7 Handling ... In season 19, I thought he's doing alright, around 2 fouls in 23 mins per game ... This season, he still got 4.4 fouls a game (46 mins per game) ...

Meanwhile, his OD is 1 and Driving is 2 ... I wonder whether OD and driving is related to the number of foul / aggressiveness?

This season, the only game he has 0 foul was ... a walk over game ! Which my team won 25-0 ...
