If you have good defenders, any slow offense will be fine. When you play a slow offense even if you don't take as many shots, you have a higher percentage. So if you take 100 shots with a fast paced tactic in the first half and score only 25 versus taking 75 shots with a slow paced tactic and scoring 40 shots, the slow paced tactic is more effective. This does also rely on the other teams defence and your teams passing and shooting, but I would go with a normal or slow tactic.
and the amount of possesion would be the same for both teams, he can only attack when the slow attack from him is finished.
Playing fast don't mean necessary to score more, but i am not a big fan of playing slow especially against stronger opponents because i had lot of trouble with the shot clock them in the past.
