Our economic updates have run and the scouting is now locked.

Why did you leave it so late? I dont think much can be done at this point.

Ahh that sucks.

I think it was done this way because last season many people spent their scouting points received for next seasons draft on this seasons draft... So this is to prevent it.

Post in bugs, seems a bit early for you if your financials haven't run yet.

This is a reminder that on Monday, April 18 BuzzerBeater will be down for maintenance starting around 1 PM Boston time. Some offseason processing will occur earlier, and to be safe, we strongly recommend finishing your draft ordering before Sunday night, April 17.

This is what the announcement read in the news page, so I don't think it's a bug... but it was awfully short notice. They should have let people know earlier (as in at least the allstar break early) then sent a reminder imo. But its worth a try in the bugs forum in case something can be done.

They did. They told us the same thing last season. That was three months ago. How much notice do you want?

They stated 3 months ago that people should put in their draft order by sunday? That's news to me.

And next time you don't need to be so rude about it, clearly I didn't get that memo if I was recommending having the notice by the all-star break, and clearly others didn't either otherwise it would have been mentioned earlier that this wasn't a bug and the BBs had stated to have draft orders in the day before the update.

Point is there are 13 weeks to use your scouting points. If you left them all to the last minute... Well, too bad.

You received your last 3 points last Monday. That's ample time to use them between then and Sunday. If you're not on top of it yourself then that's too bad.

my point was that if you're going to move the day of the deadline ahead, give more notice. Seeing as there are people, like the OP, weren't able to get on buzzerbeater since Monday, I think it's a fair request... clearly you disagree, and that's fine. We can agree to disagree.

This is why you plan early and not get caught by random things like this. Using up those points quickly and not leaving it to the late minute would be a wise choice.

Say you had a job interview and the trains ran late, you didn't get the job because you missed the interview. Would you blame the trains or would blame yourself for not choosing an earlier train?

The BB's have a lot on their plate atm, the 1 day announcement for the draft cut off was fair.

In effect they did because it was the same situation last season. You are right that I don't need to be rude, but this has been very well publicised, it has been on the schedule, been on the news, been on the calendar and been common sense for weeks, and I totally agree with Iwen and Koop, people need to stop crying and blaming everyone else because they stuffed up. Don't leave things until the last minute. It is actually a basic principle that efficiency experts teach as well, "do it now".
