You bring up a good point and I have noticed this as well. Often times there is a steal and my team does not get a shot up for 15 seconds. The fast break in the game engine is lacking. It would be a nice add to the game if there are more fast break opportunities as you have stated via blocks, long rebounds, steals, etc.

Granted D does stop fast breaks SOME of the time, in Buzzerbeater there is a lack of those easy points off fastbreak turnovers/etc. If a player on team A gets a steal and takes 15 secs to take a shot that could be because of the defense catching up or if the steal was somewhere around the key. This is usually the most common in the current system. In real basketball if player A gets a steal from the PG lets say near the halfcourt with nobody back and he is just gunning then that should only take a few ticks from the shot clock and should be a made shot. I think this should be more common in the buzzerbeater game system especially in the Run and Gun, Push The Ball, and Full Court Press

I am pretty sure fast breaks are in the game mechanics. If you watch the first half of this game there are plenty of quick shots (lay-up and dunks) off misses and steals that I would consider a fast break (22988371)

Up tempo offenses like RnG and PtB are going to create more of a fast break style for your team.
