a 4-year old boy ... loves basketball, football, baseball ... pretty much everything but girl clothes and shoes, lol ... as I found out this Easter weekend when we went shopping for him some basketball shoes (because he has to wear basketball shoes when he plays basketball, lol) and I had some fun with him suggesting that he wear high heels, furry boots, pink shoes, etc... and in turn he made some suggestions on girl shoes for me, lol.

Congrats to you as well, Rip! So you go from man-to-man to zone defense now, eh?

I'm the proud father of two boys. Ages: Nine and five.

Going outside now to have them help me wash the car, which we've never done in their lifetimes because of water restrictions. They only recently learned the joy of running through a sprinkler. They are the Children of the Drought.

Thanks man.

I think the kids are now putting on the full court press and I won't be able to play "look inside" again for a while (wow bad sexual pun there).

We had our first baseball practice last night and my 5 year old boy wanted to go to sleep in his uni. Now he's all about baseball. I coach both his basketball and his baseball teams, and its probably the best thing that I do. We put in the pass-pass-shoot offense with the show and go and the give and go as the two biggest weapons. I had a monster of a kid (probably superstar potential and wondrous rebounding, lol). He's supposed to be over 7 feet tall. One of the local high school varsity bball coaches was friends with a kid on my team and was salivating over him, since he's in district. We had to put on a rule that if he got two offensive rebounds he had to pass to the other team's coach. Funny stuff.

My daughter is 4, and she's a huge basketball fan. We root for the Blazers (I'm sure you guys probably already figured that out though). When she was 2 we were watching the Tourney and she asked my why all of the men flicked their wrist when they shot the ball (I just about cried with pride).
