You don´t need a level 5 if you can´t afford him, it´s very expensive. Try to give to your trainees +48 minutes each week and keep them improving some seasons, you´ll see the result.

For a division V team, I would not recommend going lvl 5. It is extremely unlikely that you can afford him, and even if you can, it will severely hamper your budget.

since the season starting i've been training only my guards and i only use 3, most of the time 2... and i've been training one on one... what i was thinking was to train him through the whole season so tht he could be phenominal for season 4... how should ii train him.. should ii keep training one on one??? or switch it up. like jumpshot one week then pressure the next then one on one????

I don't agree with the "you should go for a lvl 4 since you are division xy" thing.

investing in a good trainer will always pay off
faster skill increase, better players, more wins, more money when you sell them

Completely agree! If you can afford a level 5 trainer, you should have one. It will speed up your training and separate you from your competition.

trainers at 5 and up are costing alot of money
you can buy a all ready trained player for less in some cases

a ready, trained player for ~300-400k?
I bought a 15k weekly salary lvl5 trainer for ~400k...
and that's a much better deal then buying a player for 400k, even if you're in div V.

Teams that have success in BB, typically train there own star players. Having a good trainer allows players to train significantly faster, which in turn makes the team better.

IMO BB is all about good training. It wins games and makes money. To buy well skilled players is extremely expensive, training them is relatively cheap in the overall picture.

I have a player that is likely worth 3-5 million. He has been trained on my team since day one. The trainer for him cost $490,000 over the three seasons. I consider that a pretty solid investment.

well then they need more trainers because they go for so much a lower team cant afford one
and if a trainer is so important then a lower team has no chance
so you make it sound like that basketball games mean nothing
its training and selling players

Not once did I say that the games are not important, infact the games are all that matters. But that said in order to win games you need good players, in order to get good players you need to train them or buy them. In order to make cash you need to sell quaility players, typically that you have trained.

Results are huge in merchandise and attendence income, but without good players you cannot win games.

Lets face it there are many different approaches to this sim, which makes it awesome! It is my opinion that a good trainer(level 4+) is well worth the money especially for teams just starting out. The transfer market is insane and usually is, so you are best to train from within.
