for $30k i think ur spending to much.. how much are you paying the advanced trainer? you should be able to get 1 of those earning between $10,000 and $13,000 per week for less than $5k..

Everyone else's comments are good. But after a few seasons in this game there are some fundamentals that should start to become a bit more obvious.
So my comments are in the form of questions that only u can answer to urself.
- Game shape - do u know what this is and how to manage it? Do u understand the benefits?
- enthusiasm vs effort - what they are and what are their differences? When should u tie and when should u CT?
- why a $20k salary player is not always better than a $15k salary player.
- the concept of potential and how it affects a player in the game.
- tactics - what types of players suit certain tactics. And what u should play vs other teams.

As i said, u may already know these concepts but if u don't they are concepts that u should be working towards understanding in the coming season.

My only advice is to read lots of forum posts. Good luck.

Coach Regan is correct but it is more extreme. A $5k player in good game shape, with good balanced skills and good enthusiasm can outplay a $30k player in bad GS, with low enthusiasm and who is a momo-skilled monster.

Think of game shape (GS) as another aspect of fitness like stamina. Do you want your players to be fit and play like Dwight Howard or waddling slowly down the court like Eddy Curry?

PS: I hear Curry has lost nearly 50KG and is looking much better this season.

For the best GS play your guys about 48-70 minutes each week and have a doctor with massage specialisation.

Hey boys,
So we are just about finished this season. New season just around the corner. So what better way to start the season than for me to put my name forward to coach our NT ;) now that I think it's almost time to vote for a coach. cmon what do you guys think?? (have to get some buzz back into this Australia forum because it is so quiet atm)

First lets make some assumptions.

1) You want to promote.

2) You want to train.

3) You want to make some money.

These seem to be contradictory aims but I think they they are not. Training helps you win and winning makes you money. So to me it all begins with training.

League IV.18

Last season you started half way through the season, no idea what you did but you lost a lot and havent expanded your arena at all. Disaster!

Crabby Men dominated last season but are promoted, GoatRiders also are in division III now.

R-Square 18-4 are around but look very weak.
Team CSC 19-3 also have a pathetic roster.
But relegated demon soul look very strong.

There are only 7 human teams in your league so you can act accordingly.

I may as well go through them all. This is just looking at their current roster, it is your job to do a more thorough scouting.

Big 8
Ulvie Stars 18 players 1 good. Easy
Flayling Fannypax 11 guys and something about them to me smells of competence. Danger?
Team CSC somehow went 19-3 with their top player being an old 8k guy.

Great 8
demon soul = danger! Been around since season 13 and have an incredible roster for a division IV team. $38,000 C, $19,000 SG, $19,000 SF etc. They will be very tough.
The BuzzerBeater Team (you) look pathetic but have lots of potential Aussie trainees.
R-square also look easy.
Beefys Pies have half their roster up for sale so you should note down their players in case some don't sell. Also read my bbmail on this issue but we cannot discuss this on the forums.

So it looks to me like you should be easily able to win 16-20 games with no effort at all. But if you want to have a good chance to promote you must go 20-2 (2 losses to Demon Soul) or to be certain to promote you need to beat Demon Soul.

More coming

All this deserves at least one ball......
