A great question. My team is a lot more expensive than last season and at $350,000 a week probably one of the most expensive. But I need to make a very specific change to have a good chance to achieve it, I know what I need to do but I think I will be waiting until after the all-star break to decide if I think it is worth the shot.

Sorry guys, struggled to find time to put time aside to write up the scout reports on the new teams. I may just find time later tonight, if I don't get home too late from my dinner appointment.

So how does everyone feel about their round 1 performances? Were there any teams suffering first game injuries? I managed to get through my game unscathed, though Doc's Patients copped an in-game injury that appears to have cleared up ok.
Always nice to put the first W on the board and Bozo managed to keep his stats around his usual average.
In the Great 8, the 3 news teams found the jump up unwelcoming and now sit 6th, 7th and 8th. In the Big 8 only Steve's Crocs managed a win, upsetting Pheonix 5. We are still waiting for the sleeping giant to awaken and i'm sure we'll see something new for the ex ABBL vet shortly.
What were the incomes for all the home teams in round 1? I managed an Attendance: $ 334 957 at 91% arena capacity. After struggling to sell out seats at the end of last season I decided to drop my ticket prices. Only my lower tier sold out, so I have now re-adjusted it. Hopefully I can get my gate earnings up over $350k per game.

I still don't get hobos tactics.
Looking at the roster now I am assuming a tanking season, which is good news for me.
I only managed a 255k income, bit of a joke but oh well.

My 12 point loss to Hags was misleading. Was down by 23 at 3 quarter time but when his starters sat it bought the margin closer. His outside guys Law, Cima and Phillips dominated scoring 84 of 107 points. Need to improve my OD through training/transfer market if i hope to challenge for the title.

i found the missing piece for my title run last season was a defensive SF, someone with say marv OD/strong ID is very effective for div II purposes

I'm training SF so i'm not that worried about that position. A good defensive/passing PG is really what i need.

Well I lost by 9 to Moosa but it was an away game, he put more effort in than me and I had my trainee in for 48 minutes at PG where he doesn't play well and he got a 8.0 rating, the lowest on my team. So while a loss on your record is always bad, with a healthy team I feel like I can match it up well with Moosa.
Hobos have sold their whole team and are heading for the salary floor. They plan to train, train and train this season. I guess if they see the chance for a late season run they may be back, but otherwise there are two free wins for everyone in the Great 8.
Beechy just spent $600,000 on an 18 year old trainee and sold some of their power players from last season so it looks like they may be regrouping for a season as well.
At this stage it is looking like Haggards, All-Sorts and Violators from the Great 8, Stone Slashers, the tricky Mages and Moosa from the Big 8. I have Beechy next and will be looking to put all those games of pain and humiliation finally behind me.

Just in case anyone is wondering how Fanny did with his firesale here are the details.
He made a total of about $1,500,000, he has his $500,000 promotion bonus and should make a profit of at least $200,000 a week over the next 13 giving him at least $4,500,000 at the end of the season. He will also be able to train his trainees out of position with no worries. Nice work.
However did he make off like a bandit?
Marnix Verhoeven Sold Wichita State Shockers 7/30/2011 $ 385 300
Marnix Verhoeven Bought HoopBoys 9/13/2010 $ 1 000 400
Loss $600,000
Ramón Ismael Angel Sold impossible team 7/30/2011 $ 100 000
Ramón Ismael Angel Bought Tau Treviso 5/12/2009 $ 134 900
Wow two years. We wont count that loss, he has gotten great service there.
Jorge Iracusta Sold Knicktardeder 7/30/2011 $ 437 600
Jorge Iracusta Bought Durex Lubricants 9/15/2010 $ 1 200 000
A tidy $800,000 loss but the market is down a lot since then.
Gianfranco Petrillo Sold Freccianera 7/30/2011 $ 70 400
Gianfranco Petrillo Bought fronter 8/7/2010 $ 629 882
Loss of $550,000 there hurts.
Gert Jomm Sold wagbur 7/30/2011 $ 432 500
Gert Jomm Bought Free Agent 12/1/2010 $ 900 000
Another $450,000 loss.
Vittorio Leone Sold Bank BPS Basket Kwidzyn 7/30/2011 $ 249 000
Vittorio Leone Bought bc wiebelskirchen 2/13/2011 $ 700 000
A much more recent $450,000 loss.
So overall he made a total loss of nearly $3,000,000. Not that great of a day but a lot of these players were from 2010 when the prices for players were much higher in general.
