I think it's a symptom of other teams (certainly in the Great 8) striving for the league/cup balance. I've been 'blessed' to be knocked out early both seasons and managed to get the 'cheap' wins I needed. I honestly dislike my current team in comparison to those past, mostly because I have no USA characters I can get behind. I hope to win and then go american again. Either way, this team is not sustainable due to sub-par merchandising in stark comparison to 2 seasons ago when I had by far the most merch income.

Current estimations give me a 30-40% chance of getting the title despite HCA. I attribute that to having a slightly weaker team and enthusiasm detriment so i'll have to have to take a risk or 2 but it'll make it more exciting!

Good luck to you and your team. Oh how your star has risen quickly. I feel like an old NBBA fart!

Who couldn't root for Derek Hanson, your 42 year old bench warmer? Anybody who mistakes his mouth guard for his dentures should be a fan favorite. I'm shocked your jersey sales aren't higher with him around.

Joking aside. I'm not exactly sure how to handle your HCA. I also don't really have any sort of measure about how you and I stack up with each other. Our lone game against each other this season wasn't a good measure due to training and very different rosters. You still had Zane Ritter on your team.

You just beat the league favorite, Wozz. You beat LMA when he had that monstrous roster, and you beat Visionaries by 17. You have a lot of legit wins, and definitely not an over abundance of "cheap" ones.

Yeah, very hard to tell what the match-up will be like but I can see a large RB differential due to the addition of Vega (my 3 big's total 47 RB) and Vega alone has 18. That could prove to be key. I've no idea what to make of your SFs as they put up such large ratings.

Those games you mention were mostly on greater effort, but I thank you for pointing out the highlights of my season. Maybe not as bad as I thought. I certainly see our game being much more similar to the LMA game than the others. I think the GE random factor helped me greatly there.

I've certainly not got the balls to watch the 1st game. I think we'll know the outcome after this game so there's far too much riding on it for my liking!

D2 Finals Preview:

II.1

Former NBBA teams matchup in II.1, Black Mambas vs Rocket Science. RS has HCA, and ratings seem to indicate RS has a significant RB and Flow advantage.

II.2

Calfson and the Fighting Kelts have HCA vs the #3 Star Fliers and manager Own3d. Star Fliers had to use some effort to defeat the #1 Slam Jammers in the semi, we'll see if they can pull off another road victory.

II.3

Rambo is looking to comeback to the NBBA, he has HCA vs the #3 Kentucky Wildcats. Lucas Ray and the Wildcats upset the 21-1 Lovable Losers to reach the finals.

II.4

Manager dmitri of Delta 9 has HCA vs mfork and the Finger Rolls. Both teams have similar team ratings, pretty solid defenses for D2.

What is going on in II.2 and II.3? Two #3 seeds in the Finals? That's crazy, two road games and they still make it?

I'm only two seasons removed from II.4, and I don't recognize either of those teams. Yet surprisingly I recognize the Fighting Kelts from when I was in D3.

Kentucky Wildcats is prob under performing while trying to train NT SF Tanner. He plays Tanner out of position much of this season, as a PF in the semifinal he went off for 33 pts, 14 of 23 shooting and 9 boards, while completely outperforming former NT legend Ismael Grubbs as the opposing PF.

I came out of II.3 as sort of the last in a string of pretty NBBA-worthy teams (MBMD, Charles, jfarb, shikago, bfiddy the first time?, me). Since then some people (Jelme, Harper) blew up their team and others demoted in and kept tanking (reddaddy) so the league isn't as strong as it was.

Rambo has always been solid, Lucas Ray has done great training, and BFiddy kept a solid team, but I know Fiddy was moving back from Macau and maybe not paying the most attention the last couple seasons

Having been in both II.2 and II.3, I can say II.3 has been a fairly competitive league with some NBBA quality teams for a while now. II.2 was hot garbage last season with not much depth, but Boomshakalakas came from II.2 a few seasons back.
