I have to admit that 6th man and oriolekid is both better than the current manager.... 6th has been playing when my 2nd team started and has been involved in the process mainly since then.

the guy running it now ran scouting for the last 3 seasons. i would estimate of the 300-400 players the Us sifts through in a common inbound recruiting class, he gets about 150-200 of them while the remaining scouts took the rest of them. of the 16 players we had in the worlds last time, at least 7 or 8 of them were therefore guys he had talked to coming up the pipeline. This is predominantly why people voted for him, not everyone on the discord actually voted for him.

What i think happened with the votes is of the people on discord, about 10 of them saw his scouting and voted for him. I'd bet you that he also had many owners whom he helped the development paths that also voted for him. This is what set him apart from a lot of the guys that got some votes, but did not scout.

If wardo wishes to run in hopes of beating jk, then it's going to take more than talking about how bad he is on this forum.

quote text is too much, regarding your bolded part:
You are correct. although your phrasing I slightly dislike. I'm not trying to be snarky or anything. "invested enough in this to vote..."
Could there people similarly invested, or more invested, but whom did not vote?

Invested is the word that makes me ponder.

Edit: Might make some people who did invest, but didn't vote feel undervalued.. *shrug* Some people... go through extreme lengths to voice their displeasure...

I'm sure we can all think of people.

But, Captain Teemo, in the debate thread, even said, that the French had done that in the past.

Quick precision here. What was discussed in that forum was an idea to get lots of managers to train U21 players 4 seasons down the road. Once the project really took off, it went offsite and the players weren't yet in the U21 team.

Thank you for the extra clarification.

edit: Fury - due to the further clarification. I'll remove Captain Teemo from the specific topic I was discussing, while what he did is relevant, it is not the core topic that we were discussing.

I didn't mean invested in the U21 game as much as invested in the concept of not allowing the "establishment" to hand-select the next U21 manager, which is who I think he was advocating for (although, to be honest, it's sometimes difficult to parse what is written on the forums). I, for one, am starting to think that going back to the strange women in ponds distributing swords system of government is becoming more and more appealing.

Arthur was one of the greatest leaders the world has seen....

I for one, would support this idea.
