I probably should have mentioned I'm already under the salary floor, I've let a couple of guys go but it didn't make any change to my income. The guys I was holding onto were ones I'd drafted with semi decent potential who I would only train every few weeks (so they were never going to be more than depth players. One was an MVP draftee that I really should have trained more but was too busy trying to spread my training across 5 or 6 big guys.

I've been more inclined to train a number of guys for awhile now, rather than train 1-2 guns.

You want to have 2 main trainees and a 3rd guy to hang along.
Always getting 48 mins for the main ones and the 3rd guy might get less if one of the other gets injured or foul out etc.

You need to get 2 very good players coming through training at all times and train them to be good starters.

My 3rd might still play 21NT at 20 like my main one did.
An the other one almost did as well.

Well not upset here, but my key player got himself a nice 2 week injury... what a jerk.

Not sure if I should buy a gap filler or just play with what i got and lean on my 2 game lead for HCA

I actually posted this in the wrong forums.

I wouldn't bother, unless you've got definite losing games coming up. You have the green light to ABBL this season it seems. Unless someone else splashes some money.......

Yeah wouldn't bother, save your cash mate. My team isn't real opposition. Don't get me wrong, I've got a decent squad, but it's not good enough to win outright just yet. Probably 2 seasons away from being real competition for the true contenders.

I'm elated (and suprised a bit) that my team's on top of the Great 8 atm, but really I don't expect to be there come playoff time.

Need to fill a couple of holes and improve on the studs I bought in the off-season. It'll take time, but it won't happen this season (and likely not next season as well).
