Sorry but missing out on training/development of players during the regular season for no good reason (that I see/know) is not a challenge but a disappointment (also because it will affect the next week or so too).
It's a challenge to get the cup, yes.
Also a challenge to get to the playoffs, etc.
To your point, it seems just a few do have the three games... is there something logical preventing the others from doing the same? Those playing are already having the $ incentive to play but why can't the rest just get the training minutes like on friendlies just to keep this week going like the other 10? The guys in competition would already being rewarded more anyway, right?
I can understand that the playoffs can be different, especially in the end but in the middle of the regular season?
IMO, it just seems like an awkward and senseless penalty to me.

You guys keep missing the point... there's zero justification for this "event" (the missing game).
Should be just another one of the eleven weeks, nothing more, nothing less.
ASG (week) should be a "celebration", not the opposite.
But I've made my peace with it
Thanks for the replies

Seems workable to me.
Just replace that first season game with a season opener, friendly or not. It could be against someone from the other conference since we play them less. You would just cross the 8 blue teams with the 8 red teams and it seems a match for every league/conference/etc. If you want to make it even better, and if it would be a special season opener or so, by all means give a small profit for both teams (I mean a small amount, let's not get greedy), since it would mean the fans coming back to the new season.
There's absolutely no reason to have an "abomination" week in the middle of the regular season that actually forces you to get worse, regardless of what you can do (can't see the challenge in it, like mentioned before).
Then yes, move that 1st game to this open spot and make it a "regular" regular season, like it should be.
That would be a major improvement in my view

I have no national tournament game from the all-star week (only the friendly on Thursday), so that sounds ok to me (I suppose there's a schedule glitch regarding the cup games and such somewhere but IIRC, the active teams will play the cup games and the eliminated ones will be able to play a friendly instead. I've never had a cup game on Tuesday (if that's the case) but if others do, than I would hope that the game would allow for the eliminated teams to play a friendly instead, as per the (paralel) "general rule" so that everyone can have the same "playing time").
Again, the main thing is/would be that the all-star week is a regular season week just like all/any others (pre-playoffs).
Otherwise, the ASG (week) will always be detrimental to the teams/players/game shapes instead of being something to look for, at least for the vast majority of players, since they'll have a game less compared to the cup teams (if I've understood correctly).

Imho it´s really unfair. Once you are eliminated of national tournament, you don´t get any income playing scrimmages while you can be punished with injuries. And teams who still play national tournament can acumulate enthusiasm while the others can´t.

It´d be interesting to propose acumulate enthusiasm in scrimmage games. What dou you think?
