Maybe we'll have better luck with UC Irvine this evening... :-(

Good luck BMG...

thanks, missed the game but looks like it was a close one the whole way.

and don't look now, but SM just put up a 14 OD rating in m2m... terrifying.

Based our ratings from yesterday:

Toss-up for sure. I am a little concerned after seeing 2 players foul out last night.

Wow. That does look about as dead even as you can get.

Both our teams had utterly ridiculous team ratings last game. You had 179 bbstats and I had 181. However, you had a 28 bbstat edge over your opponent and crushed him. While I had a 29 bbstat edge over mine...and was in a nailbiter. I was only winning by 1 point with 41 seconds left.

4 0:41 103 — 104 A. Petitto (A) attempts a jumper from the elbow, guarded closely by I. Kalev (H). Scored.

This seems pretty damning, and while watching the game, it felt like my team did just about everything possible to lose.

I think I was over the foul limit in every quarter. If you can hit FT's, you're golden. I trained FT's for 4 weeks last season, and somehow my key players have gotten worse at the line. Pretty sure your depth is a bit better.

Ambitious and Misunderstood. put more into this game than Bullish Mentality.

Yours may have been +29, but the effort cut into that significantly.

Is it possible that effort has a bigger impact in the playoffs than the regular season?

In other news, nobodies arena sold out in the quarterfinals or relegation. Calum and I, who both lost the last game of the regular season, combined for over 4400 unsold seats. In 4 of Calum's last 9 home games, he's sold more seats than he did in the 1st round of the playoffs. Seems a bit ridiculous.

subjectively it seems like something is different in the playoffs, like they've ramped up the random factor

i have never sold more than 19275 seats, despite having ~500 capacity more than that. i think it's a hard cap coming into play. and that number hasn't varied as my STHs have wobbled about, so while i don't think that's necessarily the hard cap for everyone, i don't know what contributes to it.

I can only seem to sell 19,500 of my 20,000. I guess that's how many people live in the Visionaries, California region.

Now that's odd, your stadium is pretty close to Funky Town's, so I would have assumed you'd be able to sell out. Funky Town breaks 20k seats sold. In his past 10 games, the most seats he's sold has been 20143.
