Yea I struggled with roster turnover every other season because I had more old guys than young. I kept trying to figure out how to remain competitive and young but couldn’t quite crack the code. So i figured the only way was to sell shop, save money, and start with one position group and train up. Once finished they should be 24-25ish and then buy trainees for the other position groups. So far it’s working but we’ll see how they perform as a team. I thought I had a good team a couple seasons back and lost miserably lol.

A little short on depth right now as I don’t have much for a backup SG/SF and my backup big men is still in training and pretty raw.

That roster is good enough to compete for sure. Even if your guys are a year away they'll still be plenty young. If your team is better than mine these next 1-2 seasons I might be hitting you up for some team building advice! haha

Haha! I can’t see them being better until maybe the end of the season. My centers are gonna be EXPENSIVE.
If I don’t win, doubt I can afford them. My highest paid center will be over 100k for sure.
I don’t know, I can see the last couple weeks leading to the playoffs being exciting.

Honestly don't know how we won on the road getting out rebounded 50-27. It was frustrating giving them so many second chances.

Yea... that’s kinda crazy lol.
I think it was the fact you forced 19 TO’s, hit 8 treys while he played a 2-3 zone. Your team shot a high percentage overall. You only had 27 rebounds because you really didn’t miss a lot. And your team played good defense. You need a lot to overcome a 50-27 rebound disadvantage, and you got it.

My starting center (my best rebounder) only played 16 minutes due to foul trouble so that didn’t help. But I was impressed with my team outside of that. I don’t know how good I feel about my chances this season though. Orlando appears to be all in along with Cookies and Stags. Celtics are solid, your team are contenders and others. The rebuild may start early if we’re out of the contender picture later in the season.

Well this looks like it’s gonna be a very competitive season. We have a bunch of solid teams and I haven’t seen a D3 stacked league like this in a while. Good luck to everyone!

I personally am trying to fly up back to the NBBA again after I blew up my team when I was there to focus on being the NT coach. But looks like I may have some complications on my way there and I think this time around it will be a lot more challenging to get there.

On a side note, I know many of you are very skilled managers in this game but for anyone who would like advice on training or the GE or anything BB related for that matter feel free to shoot me a BB-mail I would be glad to help out!

I have a question that has troubled me for some time. Why does there always seem to be one bad quarter in a game that decides the outcome? Obviously, where our game was concerned it was the 3rd. Other than that it was a pretty even contest for the rest of the way. Your team is superior, and should have won the game by more, but how does one avoid that letdown that screws the rest of the game up.

I agree, this is the most stacked I've seen this league since I've been here. There's legitimately 5+ teams I could see winning it. I'll probably definitely take you up on some training advice or coaching advice at some point! Thank you for reaching out. I fear my window to win this league may have passed. I should've freaking CT in the semis last season. Damn it lol.

Lol well I meant more of tactics/gameplanning in terms of GE. The GE itself is wonky and there is a lot of mechanics we’ll never fully understand. But I’ll try to answer your question. From my understanding the outcomes of games are already decided before we can see them “live”. So essentially we are just watching replays of what happened when we are watching “live”, the final score has already been computed. That’s why you will see a lot of weird stuff happening in game. The GE is trying to piece together events that will lead up to the final score that has already been determined. A certain stretch of play may appear to be weird or just outright bizarre as the GE works it’s way there and even look like it’s “fixed” for one team or the other.

I think ideally the BBs should look into the GE and try to make it more consistent so that these type of things don’t happen as often. Sure.. in real life basketball some outrageous things can happen but I don’t think as frequently as we see in this game. Idk how difficult it would be for them to change that though or even if it’s worth it. Like I said there is a lot about the GE we don’t know and will never know.
