even though my team is based from Greensboro I live right down the street from ECU who joins the AAC next season.

BB athletes are paid and play in professional leagues. I think a better comparison for lower divisions would be foreign leagues (Euroleague, China CBA, Spanish ACB, Canada NLB, Mexico LNBP, etc.). You could even throw in the NBA D-League.

this is true, but then again they are actually chattel because these guys have no free will. But the comparison I was seeking to make was in terms of flavor that they feel best represents their league.

Plus Weber State (Damian Lillard), and Sac State, along with a few others. Mid Major conference, good college comparison for D-5/D-6 leagues.

This is a very good topic i wanted to chime in. ... leauge III.5 would be the Mid American Conference (MAC) (Akron, Kent St., Miami of Ohio).For several seasons now our leauge has had giant killers and many excellent teams. Conference play can be brutal just like the MAC!

Ha, that's interesting, because my favorite college basketball team is Buffalo, who happens to be in the MAC, and I happened to be in III.5 for several seasons lol. I fit that role as Buffalo too. I was always above .500 but not good enough to win the championship. Maybe I'll be back next season. (y)

Buffalo has been a very good addition to the MAC! Marshall always thought they were better and was never a whole hearted member.
