My short list based on skills only, not on gameshape (where there are bad surprises). The player listed below are currently at top of my attention, order is irrelevant, and no guarantee of a jersey now or ever. Just some thrilling.

Guards:
Schartner, Sugiura, Mokitimi, Kadzamira, Neimand, Naidu, Gulch, Kolane, Maleselele, Tsenoli, Reerink, Mosheua, Lekoelea, Motsamayi, Hijdra

Tall men:
Wagana, Sebe, Wall, Motihala, Mtolo, Cotton, Hintsa, Issa, Moodley, Magubane, Legodi, Galvin, Lbvolu, Moonsamy, Mazibuko, Rabutla, Hlomelang

Some comments: over 32 players will be "handled with care" because deskilling. Few U23 are very likely to receive a call: among them, Gulch is the best.

I feel far better than a mandate ago. Thank you a lot to all the managers who did a great job.

Declared goal is doing not worse than two seasons ago, a medal would be more than a great achievement. Good ranking put us in condition to play with growing difficulty and then to likely better balance roster and attitude. But let me see about other teams roster before doing anything!

The first round is over: here SA NT S25

Schartner My second preferred PG after Roberto Scalambrieri (!): could I miss him? Experience and solid performance

Mokitimi A reality, not a promise. An all around player that could cover 3 different spots. A starter

Lekoelea The one with the mission to confuse defenses. A precious resource

Gulch He thanks Sugiura manager now disappearing: his call is an early call, will he fulfill expectations?

Wall The highlander. Somebody says he threw a brick against Sebe to be called. Likely his last season in his infinite SA experience

Hintsa Lucky in the name, Lucky in the life. Missing Sebe shuffled opportunities, and he took his. Be lucky on the court

Wagana Another survivor from far "Championship" (U21), unbreakable (gosh...) pillar of my SA ... ever!

Mtolo Nicknamed "the brick thrower" or "the Killer", just as he spend a foul every 15 seconds. Some opponents are expected to drop gameshape just to avoid him!

Galvin a talent, just missing something here and there to be perfect (for SA standards I mean)

Motihala the most paid player in our roster, ever. Well deserved indeed.

Missing in action
I hope two players will join us soon.
Sugiura 34 days without a manager, not good news to stay in GS. By the way, he will become Free Agent next week, don't miss him!!!

Sebe one among the top three players of this SA. A great player with additional room for his growth. We will wait with patience

Just some statistics.

Five players over 30: Schartner, Wagana, Mtolo, plus Wall and Hintsa (due to gameshape, injuries and other considerations)

One player above 100K: Motihala

Room for improvement: Sugiura and Sebe, the growth of Gulch, potential improvements for any U26

Opponents: scared by >100K salaries? You're right. Be scared. We have limits vs opponents, will open the trick bag to find workarounds! ;)

Ranking: Misr is 14 (!) and likely unreachable. Then Ghana 45 (and home court advantage), Al Jazair 59, South Africa 64, Senegal 71, Tounes 76, Al Maghrib 89 (after the horrible mess done two seasons ago), Nigeria 90. Misr and Ghana are probably out of any reasonable range.

Loss.

Different attitude.

Per policy, I don't comment along the season. I will at the end... :S

Doubled against Tounes, despite some bad GS and Themba Sebe useless and Sugiura now dealing with his new team. We suffered for outside shooting as planned and dominated RB as planned (despite evaluations...). Veterans Schartner (MVP) and Wagana (several key scoring in the hottest period of Q4) gave the needed boost to win. Mazibuko, Motihala and Lekoelea recorded great performance, good news also for the future.

The only bad news are about Jeff Wall, quickly deskilling and sadly almost out of reasonable contribution. Unless need to free slots (I have already 14 players, but this season I decided to leverage the deeper bench we have), Wall will stay with us till end of this season, then will leave for ever.

South Africa now is 3rd with 2-1, going to face Senegal, Ghana, Misr and Al Jazair in order.
