Most important
You need to read the manual several times
If you have to ask about training a 26 year old than you haven't done that
It matters how old, how tall, level of trainer, level of potential and more
read read read, ask questions later
and best of luck

The reason I asked about him is that he's not too old to show any improvement in real life. A lot of players peak around 27-30 so that's a little bit of time for development, and the manual never gave specific ages as to what is young or not. There's also that he's the other player that would benefit from the training the point guard would be getting if it's scoring training. If he was younger (18-22) I would have given those two the training hands down. I just wasn't sure. So I did read a couple of times.

Thanks though!

Using an example if you train OD on an 18 year old expect a pop every 2 weeks. If you train OD on a 27 year old he would pop every 5-6 weeks. There is no point buying a 18/19 year old in a position your not training as he will just cost more. Better off buying older players in non training positions because they are cheaper.

That makes perfect sense. Thanks man, that's really helpful. As of now though I'm gonna focus on my PG
