Relax, no offense intended, I didn't check your history, but I ve seen you are in D.II. Moreover this is not our natural language, don't infer too much of hte meaning of one word taken separately.

Yet, From your first post it's was not so clear what your were precisely asking about.
If you give a link to the games, maybe we can make a more accurate analysis

Completely relaxed... with you. It's just the training situation that is annoying.
Game is: (46448597)

And there is no rhyme nor reason for it... and I know that it "just happens". Annoying... but meh.

edit... trainee is Matsumoto.

Hmm, the fact that you had 9 players dressed, but the non-trainee at SF got the full 48 minutes is very odd. I assume you double checked the tactics that were actually sent.

This isn't very helpful, but when games are such blowouts like the ones you're having in some of your league games, getting trainees full 48 min is particularly tricky.

EDIT - to follow up, I think trying to ensure that any of the available backups on the bench are much lower in quality than your trainee will help prevent subbing out, and just trying to reduce running up the score can help. Maybe playing a slow offense, or even a lineup with odd positioning; e.g. lower passing guys at PG to reduce the overall offense efficiency.

Despite the blowout, one of your player get 48 min, thought it was not the one you wished to train.
I allready have the same pattern with 9 players , try to reduce the number of player to 8, to reduce the substitution options for the coach.

When I play a scrimmage vs a much weaker team, I set the trainee as usual at all the 3 spots for his position.
But I switch the other players out of their favorite position, for example playing the Center as Shooting Guard. Beside the trainee(s) the other are here just for game shape minutes, so their position is irrelevant.
Then I also deliberately choose a poor tactics, preferably slow tempo (often Patient). I adapt his to the perceived strength of the opposing team to delay the more as I can the moment when the score will reach 20+ points for one team.

Try to play scrimmage games vs a stronger team may help.

Yup.
I guess I'm simply venting. I *know* "this kinda thing *happens*..." - it's just that it's *happened* to me three or four times this season. Frustrating.
