Is pretty crazy...the sky is full of smoke and my work is closed.

My home is in a evacuation advisory area, so we have everything packed up and ready to go if necessary. Still, all we can do is wait -- so the baby is napping and I've got time to have breakfast for once.

That is intense. What area are you in, Steve? I'm at work in Burbank right now, so I'm fairly safe...

I know stogey/chicago bulls got evacuated from his house last night and their work is closed down. Amazing as just yesterday he said the fires were still quite a ways off from his area.

I live in north San Diego (Carmel Valley just east of Del Mar) -- we spent the last two nights with friends, but are back in our house now. My work is in Rancho Bernardo which lost a lot of houses, but my facility is still standing. I don't think they're letting people back in yet though...either because its too dangerous or they are worried about looting.

Wow, totally missed this thread. Yes I was evacuated (Rancho Bernardo) for almost 3 days but we are back now. Thankfully my neighborhood was spared!
