I'm running for the United States national team because I believe in kissing babies, stealing candy, and I am not a crook!

Er...

I think the general formula that Juice and CLM have put together for managing the NT programs is fairly solid. While I understand feelings that more openness and community involvement might improve the state of the program, any information we put on the forums can easily be found and read by our opponents, so it's definitely a double-edged sword.

Overall, I think that the next step forward for the team would be to make concerted efforts early and often in the lives of star USA trainees to ensure they get good training and flag them when they're up for sale so that they can be brought onto a team that will commit to proper training when possible. I think there are two prongs necessary to accomplish this. First, you would need a group of volunteers that will help monitor the TL and contact managers to communicate when trainees are on the market. Second, you would need open communications with owners of trainees who want input on training. Having been the former trainer of a Panama U21 prospect, I have some first-hand experience with things to avoid if you want to have actual dialog with the trainer ("train more JS please" "train more JS please" "train more JS please")... it's important for the NT manager to remember that prospects are club players first and NT players slightly later, and to help communicate with the club manager that having a player in good GS and a solid single-position training regime will benefit the club as much or more than the NT.

I have some experience working with CLM as a scout for the U21 team, and have been doing some coordinating of two of my current trainees for possible future U21 time (getting CLM's views on what sort of player he would want for the upcoming season, and how to get there from where my players are at now). I think this experience will translate into helping me work with CLM this year and whoever wins the U21 election next year on building a sustainable communication program with our club managers to ensure the long run stability of the US NT.

Hello,

I am running for US Nat manager but I do not want the job. I have absolutely no interest in managing this squad. Even if I did, I would likely get bored very quickly.

Please, for the love of God, do not vote for me.

To Everyone In The United States on Buzzerbeater,

My name is Tong Tong Gong and my goal is to make the United States number 1 and NOT number 8. I am known for building programs at a super fast pace in any type of situation. I have straight A's in school, I am an extreme basketball fanatic and I have built up my personal Buzzerbeater team (Tong Tong's Empire) to a top 400 United States ranking level in less than half a year! I am on Buzzerbeater about 3 hours a day just looking at different interesting aspects of the game. I absolutely have a passion for this game and would put 110 percent effort into making the United States better than Italia and other power house countries.

For many of you who doubt me, think twice. My personal team (Tong Tong's Empire) is a quality D4 team that can challenge most D3 teams. My point: I took a lousy team and made it an elite program in a couple of weeks. It is the same for the United States national team! I know the exact strategies needed to bring this program to the top. I will make the United States the shining Empire over all other countries. The time has come that other countries will start getting blown out by the United States of America. This will be the year that everyone will start looking up to the United States and not down.

The United States is a "legendary" country and not a "prolific" country! I will put my IQ of 149 to test to bring this nation to the top.

Love,
Tong Tong
