My school didn't require Latin, but I somehow ended up taking 7 years of it. Most schools still offer Latin.

I took 4 years of Latin in high school. Not sure why. Also not sure why I'm reading this thread.

But I digress..

Hey I got my undergrad degree in Ancient Greek and Latin...so yeah, safe to say that not all American students are completely uneducated. And now I'm in law school, and I just quoted the latin expression for public necessity as a defense to intentional torts on my last exam. I am of the mind that everyone should (and can) learn Latin, regardless of age. $$.
