No Boomshalaka'rs :(

Interestingly enough, we've scored the 3rd highest points but have no individual for the top 10 PPG. Damn us and our even point distributions!

Nice, three starters and my other guard is a backup. Just missing Palermo...

Not a huge surprise based on relative performance in that I had a great conference record before my shabby inter-conference showing...

Salaries are much lower for the Big 8 team. I'd bet on Big 8 for the win.

All Star rosters are out:

Thoughts?

The Ginger Giant was robbed! I guess C/PF is pretty competitive. I'm surprised Miranda was selected since he's only played 8 league games which is below the statistics leader minimum of 9 games played.

haha, I own the SF position! starter PLUS backup!!
Walker Wiggles with an impressive showing (3 starters), but as already noted Reston Thumpers take the cake with 4 players on the roster.

My double digit all-star game losing streak is on the line... not sure if I'd rather keep losing at this point?

I agree, PF/C was competitive, Owens wasn't even in the top 4 of the voting. Ritter's only played 8 games and is starting PG.

Also, no young guys this year, youngest being 26.

Just pretend this is your arena:
(Audio of the Great 8 intro)

Having no audio software installed, & using a decade old laptop (Win XP service pack 1), it's all i had the patience for. No idea why i even did it, lol. But only took 15 min, much of that waiting for sound to render, finding an mp3 codec, etc..

Might be a little hard to make out what the announcer says at times, so... read along while you listen if inclined

Transcript:

[Bulls' intro music plays throughout]

And now, let's meet your great 8 starting lineup!
[cheering]

At point guard, from the Funky Town Fire, the boy with the dragon tattoo, Zane "John" Ritter. *-

[crowd clapping to music]

All the way from Italy, at shooting guard, Luigi Cheezy Porrini....

Also part of the Walker Wiggles, the man in the middle, Cliff Gonzalez ... and you know what they say about power forwards with tiny feet... meet one in Inez Arzápalo

[crowd cheers in anticipation]
[fireworks] And at 7 foot 1 inch, From BuzzerBeater's number one offense since 2009.... Tõnis Alas. He may have a pig's nose, but he has a horse's wiener... Or, so I was informed by GM-Jelme.

Unfortunately, The Great 8 are coached by the guy that makes really bad in-game decisions for the Milwaukee Lethargy.

[guitar solo]

*- no idea why i referenced girl with the dragon tattoo (never even read it). john ritter was an actor probably best known from the tv show "Three's Company".

Lol, it's hilarious... Nice one!

That's a new nickname for Ritter, for far have The Standard (previous owner) self-professed scrub (current NT role), and now the boy with the dragon tattoo (zane 'richter').
