Playing on normal for regular season games gains you absolutely nothing except for a couple of wins.

Oh, wow, I've been playing this game all wrong. Who knew that extra merchandise and attendance revenue, better relegation series matchups, and making and winning in the playoffs was nothing. :shocked_pikachu:

It's a little early to worry about enthusiasm for playoffs. Any CT/Normal/or TIE before the all star break will be completely irrelevant to enthusiasm levels in the playoffs. To me, using enthusiasm comes down to trying to maximize your wins.

Using your enthusiasm at home means that your team can't win in an even game. It creates u realistic scenarios with the sim.

The GE is in a much better place now. When LI Man was the only option Enthusiasm was the only difference. Now I have 16
usable combinations and gdp. The opportunity costs of normal and CT are much lower now.

I love this league. You guys are awesome. This game would be zero fun if I could predict everything everyone was suppose to do all of time.

I'm gonna go wild playing CT all season now.

I love the lineup options as well (although I do have some theories on 3pt percentages dropping when playing LI).

I also like the fact that I don't have to worry about game day prep because you guys switch up enough that it doesn't matter.

I'll just stick with TIE and hope for the best

If you look at my stats you'll see an unusually high number of fouls being committed. This is the sim making up the difference in points through fouls because of the TIE vs Normal. It's why you shot 19 more foul shots than I did tonight

I'm actually not convinced this is true. I have been -1 or -2 effort in 3 of my 5 games this season and I have not seen an uptick in my team fouling.

Your team does average a high number of fouls, but I wonder if it might be because your players are just more foul prone in general than mine. Maybe the fabled hidden "aggressiveness" trait?

It could be. My inside players were destroying the 3-2 Zone and he was missing shots all over the place. From what I've been told, the sim computes the winner first and then fills in the details. The only thing that kept him within 20 in the first half was the foul shots.

I would encourage everyone to use TIE against my team. I think it’s advisable to help make the games a little more competitive…😫
Since I‘ll be using Normal or CT and my geezers can use all the help they can get! So please, help us out! Lol! I’m begging ya!😆

The only place I've ever seen this quoted is from people who are salty (or commiserating with someone who is being salty) about a perceived "unfair"/"unlucky" loss.

Just from a logical perspective, it doesn't really pass the sniff test. What's even the point of having individual player skills if you're not going to simulate individual chances / possessions based on those skills? They might as well just give you buttons to choose players based on their salary and then you slap in your desired lineup, it calculates chance to win based on relative starter-weighted salary, and then picks random bullshit stats.

It's been adequately confirmed by official sources and long term observation that there are players who have a hidden "aggressiveness" trait, which makes them more likely to both draw and commit fouls. In addition, it's been confirmed by official sources that a significant factor in determining non-shooting fouls is the OD/ID of a player, while SB has some contribution to determining shooting fouls. I would expect (though I haven't seen official confirmation one way or the other) that stamina also indirectly contributes to fouling rate, as players with lower stamina will deplete their "effective" stats faster than players with higher stamina, and thus the low stamina players will be more likely to pick up fouls as they play more minutes.
