As tempting as it is to respond by paraphrasing Buster (
Usually, other managers wait for the end of the game to complain
;
He will remember that mistake for a while i guess
...), I'll try to be a little more elegant and less cocky:
Since I had no contact with the Egyptian coach prior to that match, I can't assure you what made him make that decision (although I'm sure we can all suspect some of the reasons that influenced it), and likewise, I can't know if next Monday we'll face another CT, or a TIE. I'm accountable for my words and actions, not for those of others, and for my part, I can't say much more: I'm very calm.
Now, are you asking about my standard of fair play?
My standard of fair play in this whole situation, I consider it would have been that Spain and France would have played a match on equal terms where either could have won, where Buster would have been honest, and where Egypt wouldn't interfere.
Nothing more.
Now it seems difficult for me to establish the limits of fair play because I don't consider this to have balanced the scales either. Egypt's victory doesn't add to our score, it only subtracts from yours.
