Are you sure that's not a minor issue for some1 whose been their???

Got my vote

Here’s my questions to all.

1) as NT manager what do you do when it’s a crucial game and all of the best players are in poor GS because all of their managers played them 90+ minutes the previous week?

2) What do you do when you have a few managers at NBBA level that think they know best and believe you should do a certain tactic however it continuously fails because truly there aren’t enough players built for it in our pipeline ( that sustain good GS).

3) What do you do when you know you are overly matched but all the fellow Americans continue to believe we have the best team and can beat everyone?

4) What do you do when you look into the pipeline and see that we only have a few great players compared to a whole team of great players for the other NTs?

The idea of voting for a foreigner is anathema to me, but I’m voting for Sahand for the following reasons.

1. He’s a winner. He’s won every championship imaginable with NT-level players, which implies quite a few things about GE knowledge, player builds, etc.
2. He’s the only person running who is capable of owning an NT player, salary-wise. That may seem like a small deal, but it’s important for there to be at least a small group of owners willing to purchase American NT players for GS purposes, including the US manager.
3. He’ll command instant respect from anyone in the world who owns our NT players, due to his prestige.

To win at the national level, you need a small group of owners at the D1 and D2 levels who are committed to training MVP and HOF prospects from 22 to 26-27. When we were at our peak, Coco, Brian, Wozz, and a handful of others were doing just that. Bringing the forum back to life will do nothing for the NT. Discord is worthless. No one running has articulated anything remotely close to a step by step process to rebuild prominence.

Thus, I’m voting for Sahand.

1),2),3),4). I am guessing these are the worst case scenarios. All are tricky points of contention for those who wish to be in contention.

1) you dress the guys who you must have, consequences be damned. But this would be where I would look at the bench and in the pipeline to see who's GS and DMI suggest who might be able to rise to the occasion and for your Mainstays who are to not be as effective as they might you use them in a reserve role to maximize their efficiency. If this means taking an enthusiasm drop in order to field the best team possible then this is just the way it must be.

2) God could come down himself with tactical advice. But if it is not tenable then you have to go with your gut.

3) look for a weakness and work with the community's to figure out a way to exploit those shortcomings.

4) if life gives you lemons you make lemonade

DMI is basically Buzzer beater IQ equivalent it has nothing to do with gameplay just how the engine rolls the dice.

All excellent questions and definitely scenarios where previous NT experience comes into play.

1) This where game planning and knowledge of the GE come into play. Even if the GS outlook is bad, you have to be willing to use unconventional set ups and exploit the opponent. What I did when I was manager was pick a set of players that allows us to be flexible with how we set up. So, yes GS can be bad but you have to be able to adjust the gameplan on the fly and be creative in these situations.

2) You should not cave in to what others say if you know that it is wrong. You’re ultimate goal as NT manager is to win golds not try to please everyone. So you have to be willing to make those hard decisions. That’s not to say that you shouldn’t accept advice/criticism but if from your experience you know something is definitely wrong for that situation, you should not do it.

3) and 4) This is where community involvement comes into play. Look at the NT’s like China. They have it running like a well oiled machine because many managers are contributing. The fact of the matter is you need a committed user base for the NT to be successful because that’s the source for NT quality players. The NT coach needs to spearhead that effort by engaging the community and keeping an open line of communication. Also you need to keep everything up to date and organized in the pipeline using the Bronson (our US player database). This allows the NT coach to track the players and have a vision of how not only current players will be used but how younger players should be trained to sustain a long term goal of success for the team. I think that on these two fronts I succeeded in my term setting up the building blocks for the future. I am sure Isaiah would have continued on that if it weren’t for the personal stuff he had to deal with. These are the two main aspects to ensure long term success. We need to focus on that if we want to get on track to win multiple World golds because the foundation is still not fully in place for that to happen.

Whoever takes over will need to have a long term vision because there is still a lot of work to be done to reach a level of sustainment.

Respectfully, I’d have to disagree with you. I believe that the offsite and discord app channel serve as valuable platforms for managers seeking advice and are vital for NT success. I find that the manager’s whom gravitate to these offsite platforms are dedicated and active BB-USA community memebers looking to improve, and these are the managers I willingly offer my advice to. The success of the USNT can be largely contributed to the group of managers on the US offsite over the years. Moreover, these platforms are great because you have many experienced managers crowdsourcing their opinions for all to read and have access to.

I understand what it takes to train top NT talent. I know how to build a successful team in a competitive macro nation (centered around homegrown prospects). I know how to amass a large sum of money which is neccesssry to purchase the level 6 and 7 trainers needed to develop elite NT prospects. I provide this information to all US managers seeking it. I want to see the USNT become a world power and that is dependent on our community at large understanding how to train and compete at a high level, but they have to want it. I’m just one of the many passionate manager’s with USNT ambitions; the more managers with my passion and experience the better. That’s the key to NT success.
