Yeah, it's hard to take season 2 records seriously when a team created mid-season made the NBBA playoffs. (team ">imperium<") Even worse -- they were 20 days away from going bot at playoff time!! That's just... insane. Created mid-season, already on their way to turning bot at the end of the season & still an NBBA playoff team. lol @ their team ratings too: (788605). Anyway, they were just a team I picked at random to get a sense of season 2.

An interesting comparison.... The Airballers with only $2k & $3k scrubs -- each scrub playing the full 48 mins -- put up slightly better team ratings recently. (42756541). And those scrubs weren't even in optimal game shape. So yeah... season 2...

wow, last season really was the biggest disparity between conferences.

I, of course, enter the NBBA in season 14 which corresponds to when the Great 8 became the dominate conference. :-)

Season 2 was probably the most significant season in NBBA history. Just look at the coaching rating in the finals - you'd struggle to find anything that good at any point after that.

Ok, I've got to hand it to you... a couple players with 11 ratings & a 41 point win to close out the finals! Pretty dominant for the time.

I forget... is a high coaching rating good or bad?

& why does it vary so much from game to game? Like from game 1 of the finals (810034), to game 2 (810035). Also your semi-final win: (797821). "nth_mlb_giants" had a tremendous rating! But had only a pitiful rating in the 1st round of the playoffs...

I don't even remember what the coaching ratings were...I think, for instance, you'd have a higher coaching rating if you played 2-3 against an inside offense. We were all guessing about many things back then and the rules changed often. Those that predicted the effects of the rule changes (and the game generally) did better. Nobody knew what to train. People cared about DMI. There was a period that training took place at double speed. For a while, the transfer market essentially didn't exist. New tactics were introduced. Potential was introduced. Daytraders nearly wrecked the game for a couple seasons. Wild times.

That was quite a few season in IIRC. From the start training was much slower than it is now, like HT training slow.
