The other mentors are usually lazy bastards. Most of it is just me these days :P

I'll try and get the other guys in to it again so we have more opinions and help around again.

Dire still uses it, and the rest of us chip in once or twice a year when we can be bothered

My 2 cents

Start with the basics...
*Read all of the rules to give you a much better understanding of how this game works.
*figure out what you want to train (personally I'd gor for C's or SG's to start)
*Buy 3 18 yr old with minimum allstar potential (Height is important only for particular training position)
*Buy a trainer (advanced minimum, but go higher only if you can afford it as money is the key to sucess)
*Train them up for at least 3-5 season
* once satisfied, sell and repeat the basics.
*After all that, you may be ready for more advanced tips.

You can also use the help forum for any questions you may have.

Also remember, you may have beaten a scrub II.1 side, but that means nothing. You need to take make sure your team will have a future before anything else. Read every post carefully and absorb all of the info. Then decide what best for you.

Coachnoodles puts it best when he says... Always remember the following........BUZZERBEATER IS A MARATHON NOT A SPRINT!

That goes with any game similar to this.

Hey guys just wondering now that I have played my first full season, how do you think I went? Positives? Negatives? Be as harsh as you want (I'm used to it) ;)

without knowing ur trainees it is hard to see how u did training wise.. dont post ratings here, pm someone if you want advice.

i would say honestly you have to many young guys.. you can only train 3-6 a week, depending on single pos or 2 pos training, yet your whole team is under 20. work out what you're training, whether it be guards or bigs, and transfer list the other guys. If you're training guards, sell your bigs, if you're training bigs, sell your guards. dont try and train guards 1 week and bigs the next, you will just slow everything down... and remember, potential.. you have a lot of guys there that due to their potential will never be more than orange peelers..

then, whatever position you're not training, invest in a couple of 30 year old 10k-20k plus guys to hold down those positions whilst you train.

you did not invest nearly enough in your arena this year.. you need to get that stadium pumping.. more seats = more income, and you need to build it up as early as you can! especially while you are winning in div 4...

not to be harsh, but you finished 3rd in a league with 4 active managers and the rest bots.. i would think there is some improvement needed....

without knowing, but i am guessing you are over spending on staff.. let us know what ur paying ur staff...
