Cheers mate, i have to say though, it was extremely tough to balance the finances after dropping down to Div 2, and spent majority of the year in debt.

But looking forward to the challenge again to be somewhat competitive.

I'd like to say I understand that but I don't really. Last time I was in the ABBL (Finished 2-20 after tanking) then took a break from BB for a little bit. I think I achieved the goal of getting to the ABBL and it took some of the excitement of the game away. Similar to you this season, I also dominated Div II then sold up in prep for the ABBL knowing I had the best Div II record.

I am very focused now. I have definitely challenged myself this time round. I don't want to just return there, I am doing it as a 100% HG team with the sole focus of staying there. So, yeah, no idea of juggling finances from dropping from ABBL to Div II although I have plenty of knowledge around seesawing from Div II to Div III.

Sorry to turn this into info about me! lol

Enjoy the journey back, mate. You earned it. I look forward to seeing you stay up too.

Nah don't apologize mate, its all good!

I think from memory i was making over 550K a week in home games in the ABBL compared to 290k in Div 2. Thats a massive drop, plus add in my roster salary this year so it was tough, but im looking forward to getting the 1.5 Million and rebuilding my roster.

Thats great you have challenged yourself, it would be good to see you back at the top mate!

I have kept particularly quiet in the forum this year but having read all the comments over the past couple of weeks, i have to say that anyone is obviously entitled to play this game however they want.

For me personally, i refuse to go down the draft and train route. Getting older established players who are ready to go will always be my way, and yes i have burnt cash doing it, but that's how I play this game. I am happy to play in any division but will do it my way and like others, especially Petronas, in my opinion, there is nothing wrong in how he went about it in trying to get that promotion. Not having home court definitely plays a major part when your game shape isn't proficient across your starters.

It's great there is a bit of chatter in the forums and hope this can continue going forward. Banter is great, as long as it doesn't get personal and at the end of the day, this is just an online basketball manager game for all of us to enjoy and play however we want.

It's great to hear your thoughts on playing this game. Like I said (here or elsewhere), this is a game! Play it how you want to play...just play within the rules. I used to have a similar mindset you regarding buying ready-to-go players, although I usually trained a little (U21 player here and there). As a HG team, it is everything! So yeah, play the way that makes it fun and rewarding.

As for Petronas's method: while it's not how I play, I respect him having a go. Without revamping or rekindling the fiery discussions here previously, I think he and others could have chosen their words more carefully. Enough said.

Hopefully you and others will get into the forums a bit more. Peeps are probably wondering who this MrJ is whose commenting across the forums! lol I'm not spamming...

...I just want to see Aussie BB get a little more active again. This isn't the first time I've tried it, and it won't be the last. When I have the energy, I have a crack.

Enjoy the ABBL mate. I'll join you...

..in about 8 seaosns if I'm lucky!

No one is questioning your strategy, Mate. I too have older ready to go players because they are cheaper. That might not be my longterm plan, but I understand the logic, even in a rebuilding phase. You were the dominant team all season. You had a plan and executed it to achieve your desired outcome. Congratulations on promotion.

I'm not even saying Petronas shouldn't spend 1 million on salary if he so chooses. However, when he calls a couple of people out because of his massively inflated salary with zero provocation, he can expect it to hear about it when it inevitably blows up in his face. I didn't sledge him when I beat him with the minimum roster and him wasting a CT on me. Stones and glass houses and the like.

That is what all this is about. Someone who thought he was destined for glory threw shade before the fact and didn't like the facts in response. He could have chose humility, but instead started a forum thread thinking it would validate him. Now he's eating humble pie (or at least should be).

Round of applause for the freshly relegated HOSS BENDER for his 2 cents.

If you look back to the original forum post, it is stated NEVER FORGET with a match link.

How you are interpreting the post is your freedom, How you are playing the game is your freedom.

Same as how I am calling you a loser is my freedom, same as how I am eating humble pussies is my freedom.

NEVER FORGET you are a relegated team.

NEVER FORGET, should be your mojo from now on, because you forget who you are and cover yourself with mansplainations.

NEVER FORGET you never have the balls to keep pushing for glory and never win anything.

NEVER FORGET you belongs to D3 only.

Look J Man, I am here only to speak facts.

He questioned my method of playing, which is cash spending method, and assuming I am going to end up in debt.

Then he praised my mate Apocalypse's negative finance playing system.

I am not gonna dwell on nothing, but he lost his respect and his RL game on his own hand.

Won 1 threw 1 Lost 1

No one can convince me or you or a logical person that D3 is a better place to be rather than D2, so he saying "I did more than I expect, I never expected to stay in the division" is the biggest joke on his name ever.

I call out a monkey when I see one, done deal.

Apocalypse spent money in a position to promote. He gained himself a 1.5 million bonus and an opportunity for more revenue next season if he needs it. You spent money to be worse off than you were at the start of the season. There's a massive difference.

No one can convince me or you or a logical person that D3 is a better place to be rather than D2, so he saying "I did more than I expect, I never expected to stay in the division" is the biggest joke on his name ever.

It's actually pretty basic math. As a team maximising profit, I'll make slightly less next season in Div3. I could have dropped a couple of mill to put you in your place and avoid relegation, but it would take all of next season to recover the financial losses if I spend the floor again, which would probably see me demote that season anyway no better off than I am now. I have absolutely nothing to prove to you, so my decision is purely financial and the correct one for my situation long-term.

I've been making 10x the league average profit pretty much every week, while you burned millions to win one whole extra game than me. I was trying to make as much money as possible, and you were trying to promote. One of us massively achieved their goal, while the other failed.

There's so much more I'd like to say, but your last unhinged post clearly shows how out of touch from reality you are.
I'll do everyone else the favour and leave it there.
