I'm not a racist, and I apologize. Those comments were racist in context, but
Not by nature. Although, the fierce fire of competition shows truth in the words of the great megabufu.

I've got some predictions. :-)

Big 8 Semifinals

1. Jiros de Culiacan def. 4. Violatorz
2. Surfside Corsairs def. 3. Arapahoe Arrows

I think the top seeds are just too much to handle. They've dominated the regular season, and I don't see why it doesn't continue in the semis.

Great 8 Semifinals

1. Buffalo Penguins def. 4. Tallahassee Trees
2. Retroz def. 3. Athens All-Stars

Just like in the Big 8, the top two seeds have established themselves. Trees might have been able to hang pre-fire sale, but not this post-fire sale team. At least, not yet.

Big 8 Finals

1. Jiros de Culiacan def. 2. Surfside Corsairs

Surfside only had 2 regular season losses this year. Both came at the hands of Jiros. While both teams will be down a player in this potential playoff series, I think Jiros has the bench strength to make up for it more than Surfside does. Both of those factors has me choosing Jiros to make it to the championship. But either way, it should be a dandy.

Great 8 Finals

1. Buffalo Penguins def. 2. Retroz

Just like Jiros, Buffalo took both games in the regular season of this potential Great 8 finals matchup. I see the same happening here, especially after Buffalo's major (and very risky) mid-season acquisition.

That leaves me with both top seeds in the Finals. During the regular season, Jiros defeated Buffalo by 16. But that was before Hafez Hosseini...

Season 31 Finals

1. Buffalo Penguins def 1. Jiros de Culiacan in a sweep

I do believe the gamble will pay off for Buffalo, and that they will be the ones hoisting the trophy at the end. Their team was built specifically to get to this series and to win it, and I see them joining the ranks of League III next season.

Best of luck to all the teams in playoff (and relegation) series!

Playoff Predictions.

Fun Fact: Due to Hafez "Hoss" Hosseini's recent sighing, Buffalo's payroll is now just over twice the size of the second highest team (Jiros de Culiacan), and 3.5 times more than the lowest playoff team's payroll (Tallahassee Trees). His starting lineup is now 2.3 times higher than #2 Surfside, and 5 times higher than the lowest (Athens).

FIRST ROUND
Big 8:
#1 Jiros de Culiacan over #4 Violatorz by ∞ :-p
#2 Surfside Corsairs over #3 Arapahoe Arrows by 15

Great 8:
#1 Buffalo Penguins over #4 Tallahassee Trees by 40
#3 Athens All-Stars over #2 Retroz by 4 (I keep flip-flopping here)

CONFERENCE FINALS
Big 8: #1 Jiros de Culiacan over #2 Surfside Corsairs by 8
Great 8: #1 Buffalo Penguins over #3 Athens All-Stars by 25

CHAMPIONSHIP
#1 Buffalo Penguins over #1 Jiros de Culiacan in 2 games

True. I'm expecting a closer game against Buffalo then what Athens expects (losing by 40? that's harsh), but no way am I gonna win tonight. Despite that, hopefully it's a game worth watching.

Good luck tonight Buffalo, even though I'm hoping I can somehow play the "spoiler" role in this post-season :D

PS: Next season, I'm expecting my team to go to the Finals again (unless another D3 reject wants to jump onto the scene, no offense to Jiros de Culiacan, Surfside, etc), and hopefully in the next 2 or 3 seasons I'll finally reach D3.
