Let's face it - losing Catic put me back immensely, as he is not only the cornerstone of my offence, but the rock holding together my defence as well (his D is probably more important to my team balance, as any one of my players can be the go-to scorer on their day).
I have no other choice than to play a guard at SF, or someone else more inadequate to guard an important position for 48 minutes. In light of this choice, using him out on the perimeter in a 3-2 zone, and relying on van den Hout and Phillips to defend the inside, seemed to make sense.
The REAL problem that compounded my trouble on the boards was vdH's reckless play to get fouled out in only 17 minutes. I know his +/- doesn't look good, and for some reason Voolaid's +/- shows that he was on the court when we got on a roll, but that only shows how weird a game BB can be at times - if you had to guess their stats from just those box scores, you'd be waaay off.
Moving on, we'll be giving it our all on Saturday, but if things don't go our way this season, we'll be back next season, don't you worry about that :)
