Always love the analysis, thanks for doing it. Do not prefer to give the player of the day to a guy on a losing team in a critical match, however*.

Not saying his performance wasn't grand, just saying that his team needed to win this game and they dropped it. So perhaps player of the day should go to one of the other players who won.

Incidently, any of you following the thread in BB-USA regarding the u21 team? I seem to be catching a lot heat for suggesting that the u21 team and its selection criteria should be made a little more transparent in an effort to educate the dumb users of the US like me who still don't know what they're doing.

Am I way off base on this? It seems so logical to me but it appears that my suggestion has offended some people and they're being overly dismissive of my thought process. I trust that you guys might take anything I say with a grain of salt in case I said something that may have been in a tone of condescenscion and can appreciate that I trully am a newbie asking for some direction.

EDIT: To link the thread in question in case any of you want to take a look (130717.1)

* I may be biased about that player of the day thing considering it was a guy who had a monster day against MY team. ;-)

Player of the day / week / month is usually chosen among the winner teams but I just look at the stats and rating. This is not official this is just the player I like. In Colin Gabriel case, Bangers didn't lose because of him they have lost despite of his tremendous effort. Actually we had a nice player of the week thread but we couldn't keep it alive.

;-)

I know. He did have a big game. Just didn't want the player of the week coming out of my match!

I can see both side of this "argument". I think Coco is stepping back a bit from his first rather-harsh reply. He seemed a bit more conciliatory in a later response.

Sure, he should be able to give some basic guidelines of player skills they are looking for (13+ in bigmen/guard skills, 6+ in all others, or something similar), but I don't think logging into that website occaisionally is too much to ask. I just did it, as I hadn't logged in there in months, Thankfully the userame and password were saved in my cache. Took a few minutes to look around. You can order the players by age, and then compare your players to the ones already in the database.

Does an off-site forum exist as well? Can't seem to find that.

Trully, I agree that its not a lot to ask. I just don't think it should be a requirement. You know that I know a thing or two about getting people interested in the u21 experience that are not supporters or offsite forum users. You also know that I like to stir the pot a little, sometimes. ;-)

Have fun and good luck to everyone tonight.

The playoff picture should be pretty clear heading into the last game of the season

Sorry Gavno. I meant to inform you that I was gonna let you win that game, lol. Actually, I had no intentions on Partridge getting hurt and I'm focusing on his training right now trying to maximize everything before he turns 26. Ya'll can expect my Goats to be in full training swing starting next season since I've only starting learning it.

For those of you wondering about CoachParrott, I'll have to go find the link but it takes some time playing with the spreadsheet to really gain an understanding of how it works and how it can benefit you. Since this is my first experience with it, I really don't have any analysis of it but from everything I have seen and have read about it, I can say I'm stoked about it and looking forward to seeing if it can help me out in maximizing my trainee's potential.

Well, Went CT and got blitzed by Tachenko. Another fourth quarter collapse, another defest. See you in two seasons.

Will all eyes be in Charlotte this saturday?

Mina v Bumbal.

Clearly, both are amazing players averaging over 30 pts a game. Mina will be attempting to keep his team in the playoffs. Bumbal would probably like to put a positive end to what has become a disappointing season.

I was going to put Mina in at PG and have him play defense as SG but I think it will be more fun to see them dueling on both ends of the floor.

WOW our game was crazy, I had a 20!!!! point lead with 3 and half minutes left in the fourth and after a timeout i left my computer and when i came back with about 40 seconds left my lead was reduced to 7!!!!!!! I have no idea what happened in that short amount of time, but i got a hint of what happened when i checked minas points and he went from about 22 pts to around 35. he had 1 three before I left and when i checked back i think it was something like 6 or 7. He finished the game with something around 8 threes and 40 pts. That was the scariest 40 seconds i have seen (besides the 5 OT game against Cleveland Crazys). Mina and his crew kept hitting threes at the end, and thanks to some clutch free throw shooting i was still able to pull out the win, but ended my chance of getting within a point differencial victory over gavno.

One game left to finish this crazy regular season.

Magic wants to play the relegation series and generate some extra cash. Booshes will have the homecourt through out the playoffs unless a big miracle happens. Magic 55- Booshes 109.

Hawks and Cleveland are saving energy for their possible play off match up. Was not an exciting game at all: 92-69.

Gavno got closer to finishing first in Great 8 after blowing Goats 74-54. Goats benched Partridge.

Steppers 4th quarter run could end Ilussion's hopes for 1st seed but they fell short. 108-112. Point difference between Gavno and Illusion increased to 30, Illusion will have to beat Bangers with 50+ pts which is almost impossible in BB coaching system, or pray God for an Investors win against Gavno.

Sad news for everyone who root for Cresleys, they got relegated. They did their best to beat Tachenko but it was another dissapointing 4th quarter. With their 2nd draft pick and improving team, expect them to get back to 3rd division as a contender next year. Tachenko still can lose their 4th playoff spot.

Flyers lead by Woods keep on chasing Tachenko. Rip City stays on 7th. 139-102.

Dragons won't leave the league without a single loss. They beat Bangers 93-82. Knicks also pulled a surprising win against Investors, 110-108. Bangers and Investors missed a golden oppurtunity in play off race and Knicks shouldn't be underestimated in relegation series. T. Paakkolanvaara of Knicks is becoming one of the most scary scorers of the league.

Player of the day was Alberto Mina of the Steppers (another player from a losing team) But how can you resist 40 pts, 6asts, 3 rbds plus no TO.

No such thing as game of the day on the last day of the regular season. Every game will affect the outcome of the league. Good luck to everyone on Saturday.
