If just 1 team out of 16 can promote is going to make a lot of teams stuck in a division for ages.
Taking into account the number of bots we have in higher divisions this doesn´t help to hook many users.
In Spain First Division we already have 5 bots, meaning that al least one of them is going to continue next season in our group.

Those bots will be demoted regardless of the standings during the bot cleanup.

A change to the promotion/demotion policy is not necessary at this time.

if you have 2 teams promote that means you have to have 8 teams demote.. since we have a factor of 4 pyramid structure... reducing the factor to 2 or 3 would result in many more levels of the pyramid and thus make it harder to promote from the bottom to top again.

No, I did not say 2 teams promote in every division.

I said or meant 3 teams promote in every 2 divisions!! The winners of for example Division II.1 and II.2 and a single match between the runner-ups of those divisions who play for promoting. So every 4 divisions (II.1, II.2, II.3, II.4) we have 6 new teams promoting; and in the upper division (I.1) 6 teams are relegated (the 7th and 8th from both conferences and draws between the 5th and 6th, so it makes 6 teams demoted!!!

Or incorporate an inter-divisional playoff. Though for now the bots should provide enough extra promotion opportunities.
