Hey Charles will get my thinking cap on...

By the way - I asked once on the GM forum... can we rename our top division... l.1 seems so boring!

I guess changing JBL into JBBL would be most appropriate unless you have another suggestion?

happy to wait and hear if others agree or not... the league over here is the JBL (not named after the WWE guy I hope!) and from reading some other threads I gather we cant use the official abbreviations.... so to me JBBL seemed most logical and inline with the other leagues... I guess the only other alternative is JBBBL...?

When I came to Japan and spread the word about hattrick, most of the people around me started playing and many became way more fanatical about the game than I ever was. Then the economics of hattrick changed and you couldn't realistically maintain those trainees you had really become attached to. At this point all but one of the fifteen or so people I rallied to hattrick stayed on. Everyone else quit.

The two of us left that stil play ht have tried and failed get those others to even try bb. My younger brother back home - another ht casualty - won't try. The word hattrick sounds great if you enjoy the game. If you are someone who became entirely discoraged by it, then hearing that another game is like ht means it isn't worth trying.

With regards to Japan:

The foreign born population of Japan is only 3 percent. The English speaking percentage of that group is less than 1 percent. If you want Japanese managers then you will need a Japanese translation.

And it never hurts to have some service which would allow people to play using their cell phones (If it doesn't already exist).

I would offer to help, but I'm doing LA work for HT right now :/ Maybe sometime in the future when things get settled over there (and once I understand this game better!) I could help with translations.

Having BB cell-phone oriented would be a huge thing for the Japan market.

The other thing that might help BB in general is that it's kind of hard to keep track of what's happening in the team. Having a 'news feed' for recent events over the last 7 days or even last 3 days would help. 'Teamxxx outbid you for Dude Player', 'the team received $$$ from playing a home match', 'Dude Player is now on the transfer list', things like that would really help new managers understand what is happening around them.

I could help. I'm Japanese, but I speak, or at least I think I speak English well. Afterall, I did go to an American boarding school. So I could translate stuff into Japanese if you want...
