Paraguay lodge match protest after Australian player "sung at them".
An unhappy Paraguay staff have lodged a dispute after an Australian player sung at them in junk time on Monday night. The player, Mr N.Young, was accused of antagonising opposition players with sweet melodies.
When asked to be more specific, Paraguan backup guard Ortigoza said "he was stirring me up. Saying things like
"Don't cry no tears on me, don't cry no tears on me,
cause when all the waters gone, the feeling lingers on"."
Paraguan big man Salinis gave evidence to support Ortigoza's claim, saying he was accused of travelling by Young.
He was singing this real catchy tune, sayin':
"People shufflin' their feet Aimed at me, I know it, said Salinis.
People sleepin' in their shoes (But I aint no Roadwork cone)
But there's a warnin' sign on the road ahead
There's a lot of people sayin' we'd be better off dead
Don't feel like Satan, but I am to them
So I try to forget it any way I can.
Keep on rockin' in the free world...
At one point the game seemed to freeze, with a TV time out. But there was no add break. Instead, the players begun a harmonious melody, with all players on court singing a long to "heart of gold".
"It was morale boosting", captain Barrassi said. "Even better than bacon".
But the music set only lasted 20mins, and was cut off on his 4th track, ironically called "Tell me why", something Young's manager (BreakerJ) has been requesting from the nose bleed section of the stands for weeks.
Whitewind has commented saying he will consider future minutes to Young if he has this sort of positive impact on the scoreline.
