Three elements to a PR guy.
PR guy will exemplify any existing merchandise elements. Bring more people into the stadium. And potentially the Crown Involvement element.

Merch elements - eg: National team members, players in top 10 stat categorys etc.

So lets say you get a 10% merch boost for having one of your players in the top 10 for scoring, if you have a better PR manager, you might get a 13% bonus instead.

PS: I just made those numbers up.
So it has an overall effect on everything in merch.

So if your arena prices are low, you have guys in national team or top 10 of league stats, and arent pulling above league average merch, then maybe its worthwhile upgrading.

But, if your arena is filling up, and your merch is well above league average, then it may not be worth it.

I've always had a lvl 4 PR, and have never been able to understand what he does. Merchandise income has always been low for me. Stadium is empty if I lose a few games. Waste of money in general.

Then you should try and fire him. Stay with the basic PR for a while and then come back to say there is no difference.

yer this is true. your PR guy brings the people that currently come to the stadium and the current merch income.

a minimal PR dude, by my estimate, i reckon would halve your merch income and probably drop your attendance by maybe, 20%?

Do it ! I wanna confirm the numbers.

I did it last season. It's a shame I didn't keep the data but my arena income dropped approximately from 310k-320k with the level 3 PR to 260k-270k with the basic one. And last numbers are the lowest in div. II for me. But I don't remember about merchandise.

If we are talking about this interesting topic...
How much income from arena should you make to think about hiring lvl 3 PR manager? I have lvl 2 (with speciality), and I don't think about upgrading him, but after promotion to D III that's one can make more profits...

I don't really know, never had a level 2 PR and only hired a level 3 when I tried to promote to div II (and succeeded :)

it is difficult to say because it depends on your arena pricing, the size of your arena, whether you are winning or losing, rivalry games, playoff games etc etc.
