this is the league that Mad Rangas, Bainsy, Hippos and I graduated from... Strong league :D

You can join me in div 4 Brooksy if you want.. just me and 15 bots.. Last post in the forum was 2010 by Direwolf trying to drum up actitvity... FAIL!

Do you think any betting agency will take bets on Be High iwnning the red side and failing to promote?

Yeah it's looking pretty dead for me too. I think Season 22, III.2 made 2 posts. :(

Woohoo!

And I'm guessing our side is stronger, too?

Hi Axis, good to see you on the forum and welcome to III.12. Good luck selling your guys too. Will be keen to see what your squad looks like after spending some of your dough.

Will be an interesting season (as always I suppose). 2 promotees, 1 newbie and some more experienced teams on the blue side.

I'm going to concentrate on training the outside skills on my big men this season. Try and round them off a bit. You'll be seeing some PF's running the point pretty often I think.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but I think the last 5 or 6 promotees have been from the Blue side.

Me, Bains, Hippo, Skyhookz, Vis
before that Many Men and ACT Blaze from the red.

Hey Axis,

Good to see someone new to this Div actually kick off the Forum for the new season, I know you are well healed (and by the look of it well cashed up) in this league and have dabbled in a couple of Div II's, but it still good to see.

Ol' Div III.12 has been a pretty tough place to land for a good while, lately we have seen some very competitive teams promote out of here, and all from the Blue side. This has led to a re vamp of the Big 8. There are still some competitive teams, however there are more new or developing teams than there has been for some time.

The Great 8 however has only 2 new teams, but is coming off what seemed like a combined tank-a-thon (perhaps a training focus) so they should mostly have bank, just have to wait and see what their intent is like.

I hope we can have more banter than we had last season on here, good luck in the Cup, go the mighty blues!

D.

Who's taking the 3.12 championship this season? I don't know enough of the teams, so I'll withhold my judgement for a few weeks...

As with the way this game goes, if the guy with the cash wants too...he wins... who has the most cash? you.

I guess it comes down to your plans for the season. sit and train or win and promote.

I was in the Semis last season and Tilley was in Quarters, the other 2 guys that are left from last year Harey and Hansbroughs both had late season charges, however, Mangoes promoted and Many Men was up there and then went Bot, everyone else is either brand new or promoted in.

Should make it interesting, and should be plenty of how to questions raised here on the forum.

Agreed. Cash is the key but spend it all and fail to promote and you'll need a season to recover. I think this happened to hippos a few seasons back. Or if 2-3 teams decide to spend up then it can get ugly like a div 3 league a few seasons ago when 3-4 teams had weekly wage bills of 350k plus.

Most of the recent promotees have all run it a similar way. Finish on top by doing just enough then spend some cash on 2 bigs and rely on HCA for the victory and promotion.

Seems to me like it's too hard to compete every year and then promote aka be high. Need 1-2 seasons of tanking to build a slush fund.

Others might have a different opinion though.
